As a candle maker, the correct wic size, candle size and type of wax are all related. A wic that is to small will produce a candle that sputters and goes out. To large a wic and the flame will be to large. There is a lot of science behind making a good candle

Another great video! I personally love to decopage my candle with sigils and magazine cut outs. I then put 7 holes on top of my candle before adding my herbs and oils. Everytime I light my candle I like to take a few minutes to hold my hands as close as I can comfortably towards the flame, adding the intention at hand with my energy. I always snuff out the flame. I never blow it out.

@@WitchNTheWorking Snuffing out candles and never blowing them out is has a belief behind it as to why we may not want to blow them out and some say never pinch it out with our fingers but some of us do blow out their candles as well and here is some of my thoughts on all this. Just as we can blow out birthday candles which starts when we are children with the idea we blow them out to carry our wishes to the universe etc we may also do this for our spell candles with the same sort of belief that we are sending our intentions out via our breath ( which is one power source from ourselves) to the universe, etc. I use my breath in some similar ways such as blowing on certain magical items such as in certain spell bottles, bags or on items etc, I use breath to raise, hold and release energy and so on. I think this can be very effective as well and in the end it is up to the person working the magic to see what works for them. same with pinching it out as a way to snuff...some feel this is a no no but but on a more practical level it's a good idea maybe to not do that so you don't burn your fingers or get soot on them, lol. I think one can do any of these or all of these but in the end it's up to them to find out what works best for themselves personally. I either snuff or blow out candles depending on what they are and what I am doing. For ritual if the candles are used say for deities or they are candles that were dressed for purpose for a Sabbat or if it was say a candle for the dead and so on those candles I would only use a snuffer to put them out but for spell candles I may blow them out or snuff them depending on what my intuition tells me at that time.

@@WitchNTheWorking Years ago I seen a video of a Navajo medicine man say along the lines, " If it works then it works but there is nearly always a better way of getting something done with less effort. As for forgetting and get my shit wrong, my wife is always telling me I am doing that." Seen Navajo fire magic spells where instead of using candles they used sticks drip in render animal fat and lite like a small candle do to a lack of bee wax. They seen the fire magic off on the wind with a feather fan, snap of their shirtsleeve, or even just by blowing it out. Sometimes the fire magic needs or wants multiple encouragement to be sent off. So part of the video was a few mid age shamans laughing themselves silly cause the five of them blowing together could not blow out a fire twig candle. Resulting in the senior telling the fire to have a drink and swim in beer before the fire spirit Decides to fly off into the wind, and sticks the burning twig into an open can of beer.

Candle magick is sooo epic!!! Your prosperity spell is neat. My favorite candles are black, purple, blue, green, brown and orange. Gonna get me some yellow ones soon =). Black is by far my favorite candle for workings. Always the good sauce!

Candle magic is a favorite of mine, along with my money bowl with pyrite and citrine in it. Any cash I make, or coins I find go into my money bowl. 🔮💰

Fire is one of my favorites, seems to work quicker..water and flowers are another of my go toos, along with my stones and cards. this is great..

I generally use Sigil Magick, concentrated visualization and sometimes planetary timings. Ive also had success using concentrated visualization in trance while playing a musical instrument. Honestly though concentrated visualization always seems to work for me regardless of the planetary times or moon phase. My biggest and best magickal successes however actually happen when I make a sigil and wear it on my body on a night that I play gospel music at a Pentecostal tent revival meeting. There is so much power being raised there being sent to their god that just by being there and siphoning off a little bit gets me what I want almost immediately. Don’t let anyone ever tell you that there isn’t Magick going on in a Christian church. Those places are full power. Especially waisted power sent off without any purpose except for the congregants to have momentary feelings Dionysian like pleasure. So I simply take a little bit of it for myself from time to time. Mainly when I have an issue that takes more power than just my own concentrated efforts. Hundreds of people erratically singing, shouting, dancing and speaking in tongues, being directed towards the stage that I am playing on is like trying to charge a double A battery with a nuclear power plant. It freaking works regardless of your own personal beliefs.

🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯 In my old apartment the flames would flicker and dance like crazy! That place was on an energy line and/or had spirits. It was difficult to live in that environment. In my new apartment the flames are very calm and steady. Candle magic is my favorite too. I like to add bead size crystal gems and various oils and dried flowers herbs. Adding the dried flowers after the wax has melted a bit so they become part of the candle and don’t just burn in flame. I write a petition to put under the candle and fold it away from me for things I need to “go away”, and I’ll fold it towards me for things I want to come towards me. If I’m wanting to return negative energies or create protection for myself I’ll place a round mirror underneath the candle to reflect back those negative energies. I was wondering if you could do a segment or had suggestions for creating privacy. I have several people around me (usually females) that seem to want to be in my business or cross my boundaries by monitoring what I do (nosy neighbor 🙄). I’m a private person and yet people seem to want to invade my space. It really upsets me and I can’t figure out how to get that nosy female energy to stop invading my space.

@@WitchNTheWorking , I live in the mountains in S. Oregon near a man-made lake, and I’m not too far from Crater Lake. The Oregon Coast is two hours away. I go there, or the Red Woods periodically.

The glass candle containers can be repurposed for herbal / spell/annointing oils after the excess wax has been removed. Red also represents romantic love

Thank you. I'm another proponent of the glass sleeve candle. I started using them because of my cat. Max loved to rub the burning candle. She'd singe her wishers, too. She has since passed from this Earth. Low, and behold, we acquired a new kitty in February who does the same. (Sigh!) Ella's a darling even if she is a little bossy. :-) Love my glass sleeve candles.

Another extremely informative video 💚 I like beeswax candles but didn’t realize how beneficial they really are! Thank you! 7 day candles spook me (they’re super easy to find in AZ with our Hispanic culture.) I too have had one just pop in my hand. I spent a few hours giving readings at a fundraiser and when I picked it up to blow it out, poof! Glass and wax. I chalked it up to not being completely grounded yet before touching it but now I’m wondering what the flame was like at the time.

I am new to the practice of Wicca and there is so much competitive information out there....but i love your videos. Each subject is well thought out backed up with research and a great intro to that concepts history. Thanks so much for this. i was wondering...if you have any recommended reading lists ?

Today I doing some Candle Magick Mannanan-style. The plan was for me and my wife to be Initiated on the Autumnal Equinox. However, our year and a day, which has already been extended, will go on just a wee-bit longer. Of course, there is a little disappointment because we would like to expand our knowledge and practice as much as possible. At the same time, we are in a good spot in our lives and we will continue to move forward. The delay is based on some dynamics in the Coven not directly related to us. This is where the Candle Magick comes in. For us, Circle is about worship and it is also about checking in with our Coven Family. As such, the primary intention has to do with promoting the overall well-being of our Coven Family. I'm not going to discuss the specific oils or symbols used as it would give insight into the dynamics and that would be a breach of confidentiality and fairness. Watching this VLOG gave me some more tools to work with and inspired me. Thank You! BB. P.S. - the flame on the beeswax candle is burning serenely and brightly... I feel good about this!

The way the candle burns is usually an indication of how well it was poured and whether or not air bubbles formed in it. The material and process dictate whether there are pops or sputtering sounds. If the air conditioning is blowing... also influences how it burns... I believe in the spirit world but sometimes you just gotta know there's more boring reasons why a candle flickers or pops. I am enjoying your videos :)

Of course.... But you don't know that any of these are going to happen until after you have lit the candle. Being magickal is living in the grey, you can't look at everything scientifically all of the time. Fact is... There are many magickal things and experiences science cannot explain. Of course these things can influence a candle, but yet the magick still works and coincides with the actions and behaviours of the candle. This being said, regardless of the make of the candle and the AC blowing, success was still achieved per the designated energy raised, programmed and released. Another way to express is, once you have cast that circle and established you are between the world's.... Your Magick takes precedence over the mundane, and whatever helps you get there is all that matters, not how the candle was made, or quality of the wax. I have personally seen many times things occur that scientifically should not be happening.... This is a reality for those of us who practice Magick, it's our reality.

I do have a few witchy shops I order my witch candles from when I can afford them and when I make my own or buy witch candles there made from bees wax but if I get them from the store I get the cheapest candles

I find it easier to heat up the metel implament that I am making holes with. Other than that, I do all the other steps. BTW Beeswax rocks. palm wax is second

I need to get another way of doing candle magick and fire elemental magick because the owner of the place where I am temporarily living doesn't allow candles and fire tools. I would like your opinion on that.

I've never heard of a 21-segment candle before. When and where were they used? Surely, they'd be a modern American thing, if they were ever used, as different countries have different legal-ages or ages-of-consent. I'm enjoying your perspective on different matters, but there are some things that I'm wondering about, as I've not found mention of them in decades of study/practice/exploration...

I'm useing birthday candles, I live in a minivan so they are most suitable for my lifestyle. They don't take much space or weight much. And a lot of times, I can't wait around for hours.

I need major unemployment MAGICK 👹🔥💰💰💰💰💰💰💰🧙‍♀️🐈‍⬛🏛

So this is my testimony about getting back into the church after 10 years of being out of it. For awhile I was an atheist and then an agnostic, however, God delivered me out of a difficult and strange period of my life that left me without doubt of His existence and goodness. It's a bit of a long read, so bear with me. A couple weeks into February of 2018 I experienced some dreams of a strange nature during a time where I was isolated, depressed, and desperate. I've dealt with anxiety and depression for along time and I was at the end of my rope. I had considered seriously commiting suicide two years ago and when the depression hit this time I couldn't take it anymore. I was searching desperately for something that would allow me to leave the situation I was in. I was addicted to gaming and was very isolated. I also fell heavily into a series of books I was re-reading at the time that I had a great obsession with, The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. A few months into a reread of this series I had a dreams in February 2018 one of which I think was prophetic, having to do with seeing a woman and man in the dream that I later saw the next day while walking and while watching TV. This was a man and woman that I hadn't met or seen before.There were also aspects of the dreams (which I can't easily get into because it's difficult to explain due to the content) that led me to believe that The Dark Tower series having to do with parallel universes was real. I became convinced that there was a world parallel to ours, like the books, that I could gain access to if I used certain objects that I had in my possession . After weird events also began occuring in my home, with my television, and with me, I told my parents about all of it. They were adamant that what I was experiencing was demonic deception and that I should cease reading these books and give myself over to God. Being stubborn and delusional I decided to continue in what I thought was a great discovery and a way out of my situation. Events transpired over the next few days that left me in a state of confusion and despair. My father also ended up in the hospital that week. It wasn't until I began to cry out to Jesus that things began to change. I began to hear from God during this time. I felt like I should rid myself of the books as well as the stuff I had gathered connected to them. I eventually ended up getting rid of all the books and objects connected to them, as well as a lot of other stuff including my games. We were doing some work in my room at the time so luckily I had something to help keep my mind off what had been happening as well as grow in the word from listening to 107.9 on my radio. When we finally returned to church a couple weeks later the sermon and series was about the book of Daniel, some of which has to do with prophetic dreams and visions among other things. I know now that this wasn't a coincidence. Once I started getting involved in the church again and reading the Bible I found out that these things really aren't as uncommon or unbelievable as they seem. My mens bible study at the time had members that had experienced supernatural and amazing things as well. I know this isn't going to sound credible if you aren't a Christian. Back when I didn't believe, these stories didn't seem compelling or true to me. However I can tell you that if you reach out to God wholeheartedly he will reveal himself to you. I'd like to ask that if you're going through something right now, some kind of challenge or difficulty that you reach out to God and ask him to help you. Sometimes it may not seem like anything is happening, but if you're willing to hold on and push through you can see him move in your situation in miraculous ways. I’ve had some crazy experiences with spirits and demons. They would push and pull me around, yell at me make fun of me... but something deep inside me told me there was more to it that seemed unexplainable but like in an “I almost had the answer” sort of way. I dealt with my demons and tested my mind so thoroughly it left me drained. Anyway it caused me to reevaluate what I’ve been taught about god, devil, demons, and angels. And I put ghosts in a separate file. In my experience I was able to detect that the “strong man” is literally the amount of power your mind has over your body (matter), and it can wield amazing power over your reality, and body. Demons may have names and such. That too I came to accept was how people practiced divination in the past. For the simple fact that a person desires to know the demons name so their mind (their genie in a bottle) produces a plausible name for the demon. At the root all these demons are trauma based. Like they say “spirit of fear” or “spirit of jealousy”, it can go by any title, but at the base you will find that those are Infact your own emotions that you are experiencing and those ‘demons’ are nothing more than your trauma based feelings. We give them more power just by believing in them. And of course Jesus or god or angels they become real when we give them the power.

Crow..... Pronunciations are never set in stone with things like this. It's spelled 3 different ways and from different dialects.... I.e. Imbolg, Imbolc, Oimelc, etc etc
