STORY:
Reuben Smith was not a wealthy man. He lived on Main Street in a boarding house and passed his leisure time reading the evening paper.
Nothing seemed eccentric about him.
That is, until he died...
THIS CHANNEL:
_________________________________________________________
The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...
This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.
Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.

If you're morbid, Ron, then we are too. Most of us would be right in there with you to see what's in there. This one was creepy and fascinating at the same time. I really wonder what Mr. Smith's real-life story was. Eccentric for sure! Great work, Ron. You never disappoint.

Also, I almost cut my finger at the end...I was cutting apples for a pie, while watching and listening to this vlog..looked down and then back up as you changed Ruebans face! Caught me off guard!!! Lol!!! Thanks for a good story and a nice scare. Take care.

Ron, this was just great and yes, I wondered what it looked like inside as well. Just a darn good story and Reuben , although a tad eccentric, sounded harmless to me, I kind of had a spot in my heart for him. I wonder if I could have summoned the nerve to sit for a night in there with him??? I just may have done it, if assured I could take a lantern in or some source of light and also, someone would come to let me out at a specified time in the morning! And BTW, Ron.....you really freaked me out with that sudden change to the photograph ! It was totally unexpected! 😮🎃😮

I wish I knew you would be in Massachusetts. I'm from the Berkshires and there is a cemetery in Stockbridge, Massachusetts where some of my family is buried. My Great Grandfather (x5) died serving in the civil war and his body was returned to Massachusetts from Virginia. He was in the 57th Massachusetts, C company. He's buried in the same row that leads to the "Sedgwick Circle". That's where "Mum Bet" Elizabeth Freeman is buried. She sued her owners for her freedom in the 1700's and won. The last I saw, her stone was in amazing condition. Norman Rockwell is also buried there. Along with many civil war vets I also believe some patriots from the American Revolution are buried there as well. It was established in 1748. The cemetery is located across from the Red Lion Inn located in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. An extremely interesting history there.
