Pardon me😢

Typhoid is caused by consuming polluted or compromised water & food. It is a strain of the salmonella bacterium, so when penicillin came around, many lives were now saved. I cannot imagine the heartbreak of the parents who have lost some- or all of their children to these totally preventable diseases.🙏🏼

Indeed, my mother was born in 1921 and she said all the parents then were terrified of diphtheria. And then when I was a child in the 1950’s it was polio that was horrible before the vaccine arrived. Hard times 😢

Unbelievable that they just dropped the case because the accused was continually a no show. These poor deceased people didn't stand a chance in a system like that. RIP to all ♥💐

So sad the grave robbers never got the punishment they deserved. Nevertheless, this is a lovely old cemetery. Thanks for sharing another fascinating story with us, Ron!

The violence and crimes committed against the police, even if the grave robbing was overlooked...which is flabbergasting, one would think all involved would be punished thru the courts severely. Incredible!!!😳 Thanks, Ron👍

Hey, Ron This is my hometown. I have several relatives buried in the cemetery. I had heard this story growing up, as it was passed down through my dad and his parents. They were lifelong residents of Delaware ohio.. years ago, I had seen this story at our local library preserved on microfiche.I I'm a loyal follower of your channel, and also a supporter. I am up there next week actually, Bakersfield, to Merced, then to San Jose, to Stockton, to Sacramento (no SFO this time), but sorry, my list and itinerary is already planned out. I will keep it in mind.

You should go south to chillicothe. we have a very old cemetery called Grandview. It's beautiful and shows all of the city when u are up there. Alot of famous people are there.

Ron, I think you'd be intrigued by the story of the St. Francis School fire (1899), Quincy Illinois, and the burial/lives of the young girls and nuns lost that day. Quincy also has Woodland Cemetery, which is both historic and gorgeous!

It was a sad and funny story at the same time. Poor Bernie may he RIP.
