I don't think so. Like him if you like that's your choice but these ridiculous accolades are pure sick bucket. He never wrote a song in his life. His one credit on ' Don't be Cruel' was created by his manager Tom Parker and Presley had nothing to do with it. He couldn't act, and his instrument playing was poor. Prince for example wrote all his own songs as well as for other people. Multi-instrumentalist and that goes for the others you have mentioned. And don't forget his career was practically over just before he died.

@@davidslater6957 Didn't say he was better, or that I thought he was all that good. Just was commenting on his charisma. The Beatles when they met him just sort of oggled him. He couldn't write, play real well, ect. But noone ever matched his magnetism. I think Prince would agree.

He was most likely worried about aging and knowing how fickle people can be. He was pressured to keep doing the same show, the same moves, the same songs... but Elvis wanted to evolve and grow. It's a shame. I'm not a fan of the "Elvis movie" but the ending made me cry... because I remember the day Elvis died. I remember where I was. It was the end of an era. Elvis felt trapped by his fame, and he just wanted to escape. May he RIP ❤ 🎉 💔

Elvis was the greatest performer of all time adored by his fans he adored them like wise.

This was truly Elvis at his best. Best show he ever did. And so important to the time in which it was performed.

0:54 is an absolutely beautiful shot and perfectly encapsulates this show; Elvis in his prime, playing guitar, with the telephoto lens putting him in sharp focus and compressing the audience into a soft backdrop of color.

Elvis was just joshing when he said that. He had a clear understanding of music theory and harmony and may well have possessed what's called 'perfect pitch'. I have always insisted that had Elvis applied himself to it, he would have become a very accomplished guitarist indeed, perhaps exceeding Glen Campbell.
