I’m 60 years old and I’m from Switzerland (Lucerne), I’ve been listening to Elvis since I was 10 years old, I watched Elvis' live concert in Hawaii in 1973. I appreciate many kinds of good music, I also know all the songs of Johnny Cash and June Carter (Great) and other great artists. However, Elvis remains the greatest musician and entertainer of all time, but in all his songs, all the power of his soul comes out. One could also say that he gave his whole heart to his listeners. This way is definitely unique and I think it will remain so. Denis Herger

The Man Who had It all
Elvis, Bill, Scotty, and D.J.... the ORIGINALS. You DON'T get cooler than those 4 dudes in the same room! 💯
He's definitely larger than life, the fact that he didn't get to do world tour, yet the whole world know him & loves him, after watching the movie, man, I feel sad & angry for how colonel took advantage & trap him, yet he still obliged & trusted him..
This is just about as fine as an example of blues you will ever likely hear in your lifetime. It’s not white, it’s not black, it’s just a man and the music. The rhythm and blues are literally moving through his body and seem to be ingrained in his soul. The words don’t even matter to this song, they’re simply a garnish on top. It’s not hard to imagine Elvis back in Tupelo all those years ago hearing that Mississippi Delta Blues, maybe even something similar to this. Here is a man and his guitar pouring out as pure a sound as possible. When we’re long gone people will look to this video for what the Blues was.

Yet people don’t think he was THAT great of a singer like he’s been talked about for because he was THAT good looking of a guy which is what he was also famous before and his dance moves. He was just a really charismatic guy but with a really charismatic voice even if you aren’t remotely a fan of his he was born to grab peoples attention he is a much better singer then a actor and I think it really suited his whole package and showed his best strengths with it not that I think he is a bad actor but he was born to sing with that beautiful voice and face and let out all that energy he took a risk and followed his heart which is more than you can still say about people then. He was popular for a reason not just for his looks and energy but that wonderful rocking voice that can just rip and voice that can sing a ballad so tasty it gives me goosebumps and sometimes she’d a few tears and this is all from one guy and his voice.. Judy incredible really and it’s a novelty to watch and enjoy we need entertainers like this in the world that make you feel not in a girly way but in a manly way to he has a spark that hit almost everyone and judging from his billions and billions of records sold sense his death (which obviously helped) it’s not hard to see why. One of my favorite artists to listen to probably till I die and I’m 25 lol and love a lot of different kinds of music as do most people. His voice gives me hope. And no homo I’m a guy but his voice really did open you up and make you felt glad that someone like him existed. Again not everyone is a fan but he really did have that charisma and was the whole package he could have done better movies and actually wrote a song once in a while but the songs and performances we got from him are legendary. He taught you that a smile and a voice can go a long way.
His guitar playing is fabulous
I grew up in Elvis' lifetime. For thousands of years, people will wish they could say that.

This clip really sums up Elvis. He loved playing in a band. His background, and the music he loved the most, was simple roots music: blues/gospel/R&B/country. Yet he was also always the showman. Always the entertainer and performer. This stripped down jam session really shows his gravity, his talent, and the way he would draw in an audience, and demand your attention. One of a kind.
I miss you Elvis.
He always sounded at his best with his original band the later concerts with brass sections and big band was over the top

You aren't alone. The '68 special was an eye-opener for Priscilla, too.
I’ve only just started listening to elvis and I can see why people love him I can see why he’s had an influence and inspiration on other musicians and fans around the world but I can see this was elvis at his peak in his prime the man had everything good looks he could sing he was good at playing guitar I’m definitely glad I have discovered him because his music is really good 😊
I had no idea he could play the guitar this well. Always thought it was more or less a prop. This was one hot guy.
The undisputed King of Rock and Roll and a true legend.

Listen to any recording (and there are many) of the same songs recorded by both Elvis and Little Richard and actually hear the difference. Compared to Little Richard, Elvis was just a better looking Pat Boone. Speaking of "Richards," even Cliff Richard in the UK did Elvis better than Elvis. Elvis crooned, Little Richard rocked your socks off!
