Not the testimony the defense attorney was hoping for. “Christina wasn’t photogenic”, “her hair was always a hot mess”, “she didn’t get the good Asian genes like me”, “ I took advantage of cutting the lines at Disney” Her “sweet” disposition changes as soon as the Prosecution asks if she knew her mother used meth. As far as describing how loving her mother was, she only used examples of how a house should be equipped for a handicapped person. This mother deserves life in prison with w/o the possibility of parole. She left her disabled daughter to cook inside a vehicle for almost 6 hours, there is no excuse for her vile behavior. RIP Christina ,you deserved better. 😢🕊

She’s a school teacher, a mandated report- she knows protocol! I want to feel bad for daughter b/c she is a victim too… BUT her testimony was a nightmare. I would have to change churches if I saw a leader make that kind of testimony knowing those facts… it’s infuriating.

so unimpressed by this woman's testimony. off the bat she's saying cristina was "only" 13-14 years younger than her, which feels like a manipulative tactic to make the jury think she's closer to her sister than she actually was. and that might be nitpicky, but throughout the whole thing it feels like she was heavily coached to word things in a specific way, which IMO hurts her credibility. cristina was her mom's "whole world"? not buying it. also, her answers are way longer than necessary and contain mostly irrelevant information. I feel very sorry for Elizabeth that her mother is a monster, so maybe I'm judging too harshly. idk how I would act if I were in her position, after all. but I don't see how this testimony would make the jury sympathetic to rita.

Who describes their sister’s hair as a hot mess, then goes on to say she isn’t photogenic?? Let’s not forget, laughing as she mentions Cristina wasn’t gifted with the good Asian hair genes!! What?? 🤯 As a Mum of a child with additional needs, this story appalls me. My son had so many challenges growing up, never slept through as he had constant seizures, would stop breathing and throughout the night, there was machines alarming. There wasn’t a day I didn’t thank god for my child, and to this day, I will tell everyone I am so blessed and grateful, that I was chosen to be his Mum. I couldn’t sit and happily describe my wonderful Mum, knowing my sister died in her care!! She’s making out her Mum is Mary Poppins, when the truth is she put meth, and a man before her child. Cristina died a horrific death, so I’m amazed her sister can sit there, saying how great a Mum they both had! 🤯 I understand her standing by her Mum, but this all doesn’t make sense. Her Mother failed Cristina miserably! She had fun with S€x & drugs while her daughter cooked to death in a car . That makes her a horrible mother who deserves to rot in jail.

@@nisoshahabibzadeh you've never loved someone or something so much, but at the same time resented it? It happens to many family members that are sole carers. When there's no drugs involved (causing the carer to 'forget' in a situation like this) it very often can be an emotional break. Much like an Angel & Devil debating their point, type situation, except that it's within the cares mind. I never said I condone what she did or that she shouldn't be punished. She most definitely should, and I think the sentence she got suits well. But if you can't understand that sometimes people under so much pressure, financially, carer wise, still having to do all the regular things for their own lives as well, can have a mental break, then you must live an absolutely perfect life with everyone & everything around you being absolutely perfect and under just the right amount of pressure and nothing out of the blue ever happens. She takes the time to insult her sister's appearance while saying "she didn't get the good Asian genes like I did" about her DEAD sister is a huge look into this woman's personality that you should think twice about. Her mother was struggling and she ADMITTED knowing that and she didn't actually ever step up and help. She framed her sister as someone who "loved being the center of attention" makes her sound selfish. She said that they *had* to "splurge" and called her "bougie". She makes it sound like her sister was a demanding princess who *forced* her mom to spend way too much on her fancy bathroom. This woman's statements are dripping in envy and she clearly didn't like coming in second when it came to getting attention from her mother. To a certain extent her envy is understandable, but she is a full grown *married* adult who should know better. Her mother is an addict and a narcissist who didn't raise her other daughters any better, they were just more physically capable of caring for themselves. I'm not heartless, I promise you. I have however seen this stuff happen in my own life many times before & the red flags around this *entire* family show tons of abuse and trauma. The other sister is *also* arrested for the same thing three weeks later?!? Hell no. 🤦🏻‍♀️🙅🏻‍♀️

I think this Mother wanted a relationship with a man & she didn't want to appear like she couldn't handle Christina anymore & she needed some time to herself. I don't believe this daughter was lying when she described happier times. Christina would have hit puberty & started getting heavy for her Mom. I'm sure she felt overwhelmed & lonely but without support from family or @ least a close friend it would have been difficult. I wish she would have asked her daughter to take her every other week but as a Mother myself I wouldn't want to add that responsibility onto another sibling knowing it might hurt the newly wed daughters relationship. I'm not making excuses for what happened that day it's such a heartbreaking story & only her Mother knows what she was truly thinking that tragic day. 😢💔 Ontario, 🇨🇦

Poor thing; half-laughing, half-crying. Why are there so many denigrating comments about this sad young woman? I believe her love and her grief about her sister and her mother. Her world has turned upside down, due to possibly the only misstep in her mother's life with her children. Yes, she f-d up tragically, but I do not think the mother is an evil killer by nature, not at all. Her weakness was her co-dependency with her boyfriend and the fact that she was addicted to drugs, and using when this happened. Taking drugs can lead to hallucinations and crazy behavior the person wouldn't dream of when straight. I feel badly for everyone involved in this. I wasn't convinced before, but now I am as this girl talks about her mother. It was a horrific tragedy that never should have happened, and was NOT deliberately cruel. I believe this mother will be in a prison for life one way or another. Even out of prison, she will never be free.

Ask yourself this question if you were in her shoes do you think she needs this Now to judge her and make negative comments that is why the world is how it is because of people like you who don’t have God in your hearts. Think for one second if God forbid it was you or a family member who did this do you think you would want to be judged and criticized ? Instead of helping others all you do is hurt people with bashful things has anyone offered hey let me help her or let me ask how she is feeling you only see what you see here and don’t know what her and her family are going through.
