Because she just got broken up with and was about to leave. She wanted to patch things up before she left, they sat there and talked for an hour while I truly believe she thought the car was running. Remember they were heavily on drugs. Then apparently he forgave her and asked her to have sex real quick before she left. It seems like in their drugged out state they lost track of time and once she realized the car was locked it was far too late.

I'm sure it was not intentional but the boyfriend asked to break a window and the mom said no. If I understand correctly, that occurred minutes after she was placed in the car. If at that point they broke the window, it could have saved her life. I'm really confused about why the daughter was left in the car for 5 hours beyond that.

No, he wanted to break the window hours after she was placed in the car. The mother discovered that the keys were locked in the car after they had been in the house having sex and smoking meth.

How was it not intentional when she asked the boyfriend to place her in the car when her daughter was inside her boyfriend's house. She was having S3X & GETTING HIGH ON METH. The boyfriend wanted to break the window or sunroof but she said no. WHY LEAVE TO GO GET A KEY AND STAY GONE FOR AN HOUR WHEN THE POLICE OR FIRE DEPARTMENT COULD HAVE GOTTEN IN THE CAR. SHE COULD HAVE EVEN CALLED A MOBILE LOCK SMITH BUT SHE DIDN'T WANT NOBODY TO KNOW THEY WERE DOING METH. SHE HAD ALSO BEEN TURNED IN TO CPS FOR NEGLECT AT LEAST 5xs

I believe at one time she did love and care for her daughter. I don’t think she was always as careless as she was that day. I do believe the feelings of stress turned toward resentment toward Cristina and the drugs to cope with these feelings took the tragic turn. If She hadn’t used drugs, Cristina would probably still be here.

I am very sorry but I disagree, she is upset she is found guilty. She constantly abused her in this way. She chose meth over her child. Kept going outside and to "check on her" I pray she won't be able to hurt anyone else ever. Her daughter had no choice but to rely on her. Both the boyfriend and mother let her literally cook alive. No regard to this child. COOKED HER for over 4hrs and went to check on her twice only to find she was locked in? That's torturous. There are people who want children can't have them but this POS had them and killed one by gross neglect to say the very least. It was proven her mother left her there constantly or disappeared when a babysitter was there.
