And Eli stole the show really, without him it's just a good western but his timing and humor put it over the top, Tuco was the lead actor and had the most air time and should of received an Oscar for his performance in that film IMO.
Eli Wallach was great in everything
You can tell that Johnny really respects him.

True, Eli had the opportunity to play off and with the best Hollywood had to offer. The portrayal of human condition in film is a noble profession. Some pick up on that, as your self noticed, keen observation.

Right on. I picked up on that too. Johnny actually seems nervous at first. Great to see Eli at that age - ten years after "The Good, the bad, and the Ugly."
I love his character Tuco in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly...

Outstanding performance! Just amazing. #RIPEliWallach
Such a great and talented actor Eli was.
Eli Wallach is one of the greatest actors of all time. In the movie “the good, the bad, and the ugly” the character he played was so convincing that I thought he was Hispanic. Then I saw him on Carson and I couldn’t believe my ears! Definitely one of the most underrated actors.

Loved Eli Wallach in the Magnificent Seven! He played such a great villain!
Always loved Eli especially in The Magnificent Seven and The Good, The Bad And The Ugly. One gentleman I’d love to have been able to sit down with for dinner and just listen to him talk!
Eli Wallach was unforgettable in at least 1 Clint Eastwood western. What was not obvious is that he was such a good actor, since he played such an unsavory fellow.

He’s just marvelous. 🥰 Always liked him and his work.
Great tie, Eli. One is so privileged when they've seen any performances by Eli Wallach & Anne Jackson. Their daughter, Roberta, was in "The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds" with Joanne Woodward, Nell Newman, produced & directed by Paul Newman. Sterling work always done by all of these folks. Theater or film: they were fine.

Now that I'm old, and have plenty of time to watch TV. I'm setting here watching things 50 years old, because there is nothing on today I care about at all. LOL Man, I miss good TV !

The third and final Mr Freeze in Batman66.

As a child I remember "This is Irv Weinstein with the 11 0'clock News... do you know where your children are?" and I would look at Dad and say Goodnight... As I packed up any toys or just started off to brush teeth - I can always remember hearing the Tonight Show theme, or Ed McMahan's intro... Depending on the day, sometimes I got to stay up and actually watch a bit before my Father would carry my sleeping carcass upstairs to bed... Yesterday's Actors & entertainment were .50 cal compared to today's .22 cal Industry... Respect
For me, Eli Wallach will always be Tuco

The good, the bad, and THE UGLY....? Eli was anything but ugly, and really took it on the nose in that role. He even almost got whacked on the head by the shovel Van Cleef threw at him when his character was being forced to dig up the grave. Go watch it. Great man.

We noticed that right off, my son and I laughed at that part saying it was actually a really close throw to his head and probably a little too close for comfort but I'm glad the left it in, it definitely added to the real feel of that " You're not digging" as Angel Eyes cocks the gun at Blondie, scene.
