This is a great analysis. But I don't think it "invalidates" Raw builds. I'm still able to clear special investigations for things like Shagaru Magala, Valstrax etc in about 12-14 minutes with my raw IG build that isn't optimised for max dps. That's still reasonably viable. Element is just faster, which i think is a good thing. Specialising to exploit a monsters weakness should be rewarded.

Element should be better than raw, there should never be a build that works for all monsters that is better than a build made for that specific monster. I do agree that the same element build but just swaping the weapon for any element is bad for the game.

Element is too strong in sunbreak. Subtract the qurios stuff and moving forward, its fine. On certain mons, element sets do 3 times the damage of raw builds. For charge blade, the strongest element phial is 10x vs impact phial. Element being better across the board was a step in the right direction, but qurios stuff shooting element damage to the moon, not so much.

I get that, but with the augment mats and qurio and talismans included... It feels extremely harsh to try and change build without feeling like you're shooting yourself in the foot. Lord forgive you if you switch to a different weapon and have to go through all of it again, for 5 elements and raw. If I have to put together a fully different armor set on top for each one... Yeah, I'm out peace. 1 general build where you swap out the element is good, thanks.

​@@BigDBrianExcept you never had to do that. 90% of builds used the same setup. The only time that would change was if you wanted to try a completely different playstyle.
