Pros can do it after several tries - but they can never replicate doing this in a sudden death championship matchup against one of the best players ever (Strickland) - that makes Reyes the GOAT.

Efren only potted the 5 cause those pockets were gigantic.

What an absolute gangster Efren was. I would love to have seen Earl snap his cue in half but he actually managed to be gracious (nearly as remarkable as the shot itself). In saying that I like Earl despite his best efforts. He was a worthy foe for Efren. Would love to have seen them clash in a Mosconi style tournament, even though they competed for some serious bread down the years. Question: why isn't there anything as big in monetary terms as King of the Hill anymore? Maybe there is and I just don't know about it, but it seems a lot of money has left the game. I know SVB and a few others make out alright over a season but even he was rocking a job until comparatively recently 🤔 Someone enlighten me!

Nice Karl but would you ever have tried that shot in the match? The commentators all thought it would be impossible to pot the ball, just wondering what you would have done? Efren made a lot of shots that no one would try in a match and now they are free for everyone to try in a game lol. Anytime you guys try one of his shots make sure you give credit to Efren.

i made the same shot when i was 11 1st try in game ball was almost a foot away from the rail

Yes 3 or 4 times in tournaments

Willie Mosconi reportedly made a 5 rail kick to win a straight pool championship (basically hill-hill). But alas, no video footage of that.

If object ball is hanging over a pocket, pros don't have much trouble with finding it with 2-5 rails

Because that’s what it’s called. Anywhere in the world, except for 1 country in North America that changed it to “zee”
