    Scott Frost is such a great broadcaster. He has it all, a great voice, super enthusiasm that is infectious, and a deep appreciation for and knowledge of the game. Game On SF!

    The GOAT at 69 years of age still amazing how he can beat one of the worlds best at one pocket and make it look so easy. And with Mr. Frost calling the shots has made Rail Birds better than ever!!! Very nice job Scott.

    More great commentary from the Freezer. Glad to see Efren still playing at a top level, especially at 69! Legend of legends 💪

  • @judg3Grady
    @judg3Grady4 ай бұрын

    It is a double pleasure to watch Efren and listen to Scott's comments. I believe that the Freezer is the best pool commentator nowadays period. I love that every possible shot is discussed in terms of speed and the use of English, with the altenatives and why you should possibly choose the one over the others. And even with commentators that are high-profile players as well, like Karl Boyes, for example, you would only hear the problem and the shot he would prefer to do at most. You would most probably never hear stuff like here, what English and speed you should use on the break breaking from different angles. That's just another level of commentating. So, that "putting up" is quite pleasurable, Scott, don't you worry =) Looking forward to more videos and that commentary.

    Love one pocket, basically the chess of cue sports. It's a good window into not only a player's ability, but their strategic insight and maneuvering. It really says more than meets the eye about Efren that this has historically been his tournament. It's with this accomplishment more then anything that he deserves his GOAT status.

    Pleasure to watch Efren so on top of his game and like everyone else says, Scott is the best pool commentator out there. Informative, natural, and fun, and understands his audience. Quite a few other commentators I've sat through make it into some kind of pissing contest with each other as if it's all about them instead of the people at the table. Scott never does that. He's always respectful and humble, all the more impressive from him being one of the top one-pocket players himself.

    This game is so underrated, they have to adjust their banks to this slow speed in order to not sell out. So, you have to rethink your normal 9/10 ball bank lines and that's just one small aspect among dozens of other little secrets of this chess play.

    The bank at 29:25, Efren puts inside English. Wouldn't this shorten the bank?

  • @hantoam

    @hantoam

    5 ай бұрын

    Yes it does shorten the bank but at their level of play, they compensate for that by hitting the object ball thinner. In this case by hitting the object ball thinner and with inside spin that’s how he was able to go around two rails to fall on the next ball.

    Is it normal to play where balls you make in your opponents pocket don't stay down (and don't count as +1 for your opponent)? I've always played it as it counts for your opponent, maybe this varies?

  • @RailbirdsTV

    @RailbirdsTV

    5 ай бұрын

    If you make a ball in your opponents pocket, it counts for them. Unless you commit a foul on the shot, in that case, your opponent does not get credit for the ball and it spots (along with one of your balls also spotting for the foul).
