    To watch him play is like watching Michael Jordan play basketball, Mohammed Ali box, Yo Yo Mah play the cello, Michaelangelo paint, or Hussein Bolt run the 100. Genius takes many forms, and this man is The Buddha of Billiards.

    However Efren and Earl started playing, "no one" in the game is gutsy enough to make a risk of a shot like Efren. He is the only player that sees angles with an x- ray vision like superman, that's why he's the "best" and the greatsr pool player who ever held the cue!

    +Rouhunaattori what are you talking about ? have you ever seen Reyes play pool before ? he pointed at the 8 before he took the shot. he does that to sort of call the ball when in this game he did not have to. if he fails he would have secured the cue ball still. thats how Reyes play and his preparations are excellent. those fancy zig zag shots you saw him made ??? hes been doing that for decades. from the start of his 3 cushion days up to his championships hes been doing that. thats the difference between reyes and other pool players reyes is an excellent 3 cushion player it wasn't a difficult shot what he did in the final moments of this video..

  • @Rouhunaattori

    Yes, I have seen many of his games, and I now what he is capable of. But look at his reaction, clearly frustrated the eight went in. There's no way he played that shot to leave him a 3 cushion escape.

    Nothing but a lucky roll @ 1:30. The 8 rolling in hurt him tremendously. He needed the safety he was going for. He played a safety ONLY because he had to because of his previous bad position.

    Manny Boy If it's Efren vs Earl, it's reasonable to say that the best player is whoever is at the table. Either of them can run off several games or even a whole set - at least back then. When they played their race to 120 back in '96, they were both virtually flawless and equally amazing

    J. Rogers damn straight, against c.j. wiley, who didn't want to pay, so earl had to take him to court! i think he accepted a one lump sum payment of 557,000, or something like that. if they were to play a race to 100 today, i bet the farm on earl.

    J. Rogers It's not magic. It's an excellent escape from a snooker followed by a piece of good fortune. In a situation like this, the player understands that potting the ball is a POSSIBILITY, and he should call the pocket if playing a call-pocket game. Doing this is worlds apart from EXPECTING to pot the ball, which you're suggesting Reyes did in this case. I know he's a genius but I can't swallow that...

  • @JackoDiaz

    @JackoDiaz

    9 жыл бұрын

    He did that more than thrice in other tournament he played in. Efren was a good carom player so that shot was never a fluke. You can watch him play balkline 72.1 in youtube if you want proof.

  • @jeffreyalvarez4575

    @jeffreyalvarez4575

    9 жыл бұрын

    he intended that to happen... but there is no 100% guarantee that he will succeed because that shot is like a super rare tough shot that only efren would dare to do in a tournament... and that is why he is the magician and a legend

  • @keeleyg1

    @keeleyg1

    9 жыл бұрын

    Jeffrey Alvarez Wrong. He didn't 'dare' to do anything. By your rationale, he could have easily played to put it safe, but deliberately chose to pot it instead. This is rather hard to swallow. Indeed he is a great player (arguably the greatest), but please try to maintain some sense of perspective...
