@warystatue33 Here's one, after the death of his first wife leaving him and his daughter, Stephannie, he remarries then after having his marriage disolved, he gets depressed and all that and resents Kate and Sophie because his ex-wife just used him as a shield or cover up (cause she's making it seem like people would hang her for being gay) then he becomes Cluemaster and kidnaps Sophie and tests Kate's lack of detective work while Stephannie dons her Spoiler costume to stop her father but also be against Kate because she was the reason her father went down this path. Long story short, Kate can't find him because she hasn't actually trained to be one, she hasn't spent years or training to become a detective while Stephannie has had training from her father and old mom so she could possibly be a detective in the future then Stephannie stops him and reluctantly sends him to jail and frees Sophie then Batwoman finds Spoiler and thanks her but Spoiler just ignores her and tells her off before going to fight crime which Batwoman is ignoring by tracking Spoiler down.

You see the show makers have no sense of professionalism, in front or behind the camera, so it makes total sense to them. You're absolutely right, there are lots of professions in which that kind of behaviour would warrant a dismissal because it's unprofessional. My job, for example, having sex or doing anything intimate in the work place is a fireable offence, irrespective of sexuality...but I guarantee if they caught two men or two women, they'd just give them a talking to because HR wouldn't want a lawsuit. How is that just? Point is, Hollywood doesn't understand the meaning of professionalism.

The show just straight up told the story of how Kate, in a absolute hangover, was able to completely crush a shooting competition, how she didn't miss a single shot and how she was the best shooter this place ever had, and also how she's apparently the greatest person to ever attend the place, the one who achieved the most out of everyone there. Keep in mind this was all to make the point that she has a unwavering heart. Now just think about this scene but instead of all that bullshit it was just a story of how she was full of doubts and scared to fail at the competition, ya know, like how a human being would act, but because of her inner strength or whatever she was able to do well, not the best, but well enough to have her abilities be recognized by her peers. These writers are going out of their way to make her into a Mary Sue.

So, just imagine Kates and Sofies 'relationship' happened to you in real life. You had a relationship years ago with someone you met in the military, it was nice and you had fun but you ended up with a choice of being open about your relationship or your dream career. Now, of course you choose the career over the person, because its not like you can't have both in a few weeks but lets act like its one or the other. You move on with your life and marry someone else. Years later this random ex comes back into your life and heavily implies that your happy marriage is bullshit and that you clearly belong with them because you dated for a while, then basically stalks you and harasses you for your relationship and the fact you chose career over a relationship that might not have lasted. Holy fucking shit is this bad. The worst part? The heavy, heavy implications that the ONLY reason Sofie is married to a man, is because she is hiding her gayness and that society at large still despises gays, which it doesn't. Isn't it fun that this heavy handed lgbt bullshit forgets that the b exists and implies that just because we have seen one relationship in which she has dated a girl, means that she 100% is definitely gay and cannot like guys what so ever and definitely can't be Bi in a happy relationship that this stalker ass, arrogant piece of shit mary sue is trying to ruin for her own selfish reasons and nothing else

It's even worse than that: Kate apparently has near-limitless money at her disposal because of her rich family. Near as we can tell, she's been traveling abroad (sorry, 'training' abroad) ever since leaving the academy, and she's got so much money lying around that when she finally looks like she intends to enter the working world, she buys a building expressly to turn into a gay bar because she wants to spite the owner of a nearby restaurant.

EFAP didn't include it but that restaurant is like kate, painfully inconsistent. The first scene did start with a opera singer 🎶Asssssshole-amio! Not just broken ribs. She was shot with a gun that's meant to break through nearly impenetrable armor, breaking through a brick wall with her spine and the back of her head, and then falling three stories down onto cement. If this girl was a man, he wouldn't just have been dead, he would have been ripped in half and then pulverized.

Remember how in Episode 3, Kate left a building in crisis and wasted precious time repainting the batsuit and grafting a wig onto the cowl, specifically because it annoyed her that Batman was being credited with her actions? Well, just compare this quote from Episode 4... "I want to buy run-down buildings from outside the Crows' districts, keep the rents low, and give them back to the community." ...to a quote from this episode: "Gotham Pride Real Estate's first acquisition...The guy across the street asked me to leave his restaurant. I wonder how he'll like it when I turn this joint into a gay bar." Really, we should be praising the show's writers for the consistent portrayal of Kate as a petty, selfish sociopath.

I like how she’s just like “I think I know who Batwoman is, let me shout my guess out loud, in public.” Like, even if she did resent Kate for trying to hold her hostage (which she should, I don’t know why she isn’t angry about that), she would have no reason to shout her name like that. It’s like she knew the background music was playing, so she wanted to be sure the audience knew she solved the extremely obvious mystery of who Batwoman is.

Wow. Thorias Unlimited, Jlongbone, and Efap Mini Batwoman reviews/reactions all on the same day. The Cosmic Chicken was good to us today.

Apparently after some research, the actor of Malcolm can't remember starring in the show because he had a stroke (or mini strokes because of a medical condition) which made him lose his memories, take temporary brain damage and break some of his bones. She has this thing with rules... My head canon is that she was actually discharged for bad behavior, they just used homosexual conduct as an excuse because literally everyone in base knew, so her dad and stepmom couldn't just bury it with their money.

So when Kate said she wanted to start a real estate branch, it was to make good housing for low income people. So her first on screen purchase and venture is a personal vendetta that has nothing to do with assisting the poor. That's Kate!

In episode 6 when the step-sister asks what type of bullet and says Blackout, I think they meant her to say Black Talon. Which is a nasty hollow point design that was made by Winchester in the 90s. When Black Talon was around, before Winchester discontinued it, some physicians and doctors voiced concerns that it would make treating victims harder and that the sharp points of the jacket would pierce surgical gloves and hands. Potentially increasing doctors risk of infection. No reported cases of this however. Also there was a lot bull shit going around that Black Talons were Teflon coated and because of that they could pierce body armor. Which was complete bull shit. So long story short, I think the writers might have meant for her to say Black Talon not Blackout. Or maybe I'm seeing things that aren't there.

The Teflon coating thing was because AP rounds _are_ coated in Teflon to decrease barrel wear because they're heavier than standard ones. Anti-gun groups assumed the Teflon was some kind of active ingredient that non-sticked the bullet through kevlar fibres and coined the myth of the "cop-killer" bullet, when typically it was just cops using low-grade vests that couldn't stop things like .44 Magnum. Huh? Who's 'The Rifle'? I was describing Deadshot from Season 1 of 'Arrow,' because this show apparently wasn't content on being awful on its own two feet. Apparently, it also has to rip off the same show it's clearly trying to ape.

This episode: Kate Kayne is not only a hero, she is the best person ever! Everyone paying attention Kate Kayne: - Wanted the woman she loves to choose her over her entire career, instead of pretending for a week to be straight. - Shoot a sniper rifle while being hung over. - Broke into her cousin’s house. - Overpowered his security guard twice. - Stole and used military grade gear from a vigilante. (- Possibly stole her cousins’ money to fund a real estate firm.) - Shoots a thief with a grappling hock and hanks her off a building. - Let´s a deranged killer, who murdered five people and tried to detonate a bomb during a public event, run free despite having numerous opportunities to arrest her. - Kidnapped a criminal, tortured him for days until he almost died from an infection. - Kidnapped a private security contractor. - Doesn´t report a medicine student who steals from her college and runs an illegal underground street hospital. - Left a gang of terrorists to recover and get away instead of calling the police. - Threatened to kill a mentally sick murderer instead of capturing him. And then threatening her sister with a gun to either capture her as well or if she still possess a danger to her father kill her in self-defence. - Instead of stopping an assassin and rescuing a the target she (metaphorically) fucks around with another vigilante resulting in a murderer getting away and an innocent man getting brutally murdered. - Caused a car crash. (Risking everyone to get injured, crippled for live or even killed). - Severely injured or killed the driver of the truck. ... I probably forgot some horrible things she did. (For example, didn´t she try to get a confession out of a her father, while he was dying from poison gas?) Point is: No. Kate Kayne is a terrible person, when she is not being a complete dumbass. She isn´t even an anti-hero. An anti-hero would have stopped Alice by now (by any means necessary).

What gets me about this episode is that Kate used julia to trick sophie that she isn't batwoman and it worked. a couple things to point out. -Kate kidnaps sophie and sophie never questions Batwoman why she would do that unless she was Kate. -Kate gets defensive when sophie brings up batwoman in conversation -Sophie learned that Batwoman knows Kate's stepsister even though batwoman has been around a few weeks and conveniently knows someone close to kate -Batwoman shows up the same time Kate comes to gotham and it's to rescue sophie from Alice -Kate brushes sophies face as Batwoman -When julia is shot Kate the absolute moron that she is says to sophie "I thought her suit was bulletproof." which is something Kate wouldn't know unless she's Batwoman. -Kate shows up in the room with sophie and julia disguised as batwoman and no one questions this whatsoever. Kate just stumbles on sophie and batwoman during a man hunt like you stumble into someone in the park as a way of getting Sophie off of Kate's back but this just adds more questions that sophie never asks because she's a moron like Kate. -Sophie knows that Kate Is capable enough to capture Alice and take out an armored vehicle with 2 crow bodygaurds to save Batwoman But Sophie is not suspicious whatsoever and let's go of the idea of Kate being Batwoman even though she was so sure of it she told Kate's Father.

Pretty sure they call Batwoman by making wacky hand signs in front of the Batsignal. That's been established.

Okay, having broken ribs is NOT trivial. I've bruised ribs from a cycling accident. It hurts to breathe and you cannot draw a deep breath. It hurts to sleep if you roll over. It hurts to get out of bed. You have to slide out of bed using your damn feet because the intercostal muscles (which work with the abs to pull you upright) pull against the ribs and you cannot use your arms either because, SPOILER ALERT, everything is connected. Articulation of the arms uses the ribs in addition to shoulder and arm muscles. You take some pretty freaking strong painkillers just to get through the day. It takes 6-8 weeks to heal. If you break ribs, you're not smiling and having a good time. You go to a real doctor to make sure you haven't punctured a vital organ and earned some internal bleeding. They can't splint busted ribs, sometimes a wrap can be used but that wrap was wrinkled in one shot, and straight in the next. A doctor needs to check that the damage isn't more serious. This is NOT DIFFICULT to figure out or research! Bloody hell. Oh, and that fall would have broken her goddamn spine. I call BS on her nailing that shot left-handed. Yes, she shot with her left hand becuase the right hand controls the throttle (no complaint there). The point is, nailing a shot with a non-dominant, untrained hand is not likely 'cause it'll feel really weird. Anyone ever try writing with a pen in their non-dominant hand?

Btw Mauler, Jacob found out his daughter is the "hero" by EPISODE 7....of the FIRST SEASON! #WhatdYouBringMe?

That school must be the worst institution for military service... ever. The top physically performing woman will never beat the top physically performing man. So if the magical lesbians can beat the former best time by a full second, the fattest most unathletic men must go to that school. As an example: The fastest woman in the world in the 100yrd Dash is 0.91 seconds slower than the fastest man. And that's in a straight line. An obstacle course needs strength and stamina as well as speed. There is no way she'd be in the top 25 let alone number 1.

"She didn't even try" It's like they don't understand what is unappealing about these characters. Arrow struggled and failed repeatedly and grew. Bateman? Nawwwww

They also make pretty good self protection ammunition, given their high penetration and damage capabilities, despite being a very low velocity and low recoiling round. They were rather popular for decades before hollow point bullet technology evolved in the 70s and 80s. Still a common choice for my .38 even. ^.-.^

And Rags is correct. Wadcutters, because they’re flat tipped, have low likelihood of penetrating through their target, dispersing all of their kinetic energy into their target. Functionally, they’re a lot like hollowpoints, since hollowpoints were manufactured to mushroom upon impact and have a better chance of stopping in the target. I don’t know which was developed first, but I’d guess wadcutters, since that would be much easier bullet to make on a home press or at a gunsmith’s shop, like those in the old west.

Instead Kate is this psycho batstalker, who wants to destroy a marriage despite having lesbian relationships with every hot blonde in the series while Sophie's little more than a chair being thrown into the room - the chemistry between the two is so weird. At least other scenes are funny. This is just awful

I think it's all funny so I don't really think the relationship stuff is any worse I guess.

What is this, the 1990s? There used to be a ban on homosexuality in the military, but not for homophobia. It was so soldiers would not be distracted by romantic relationships as I believe divisions tended to be same sex. It is the same rule as fornicating in the military. It was a practical rule as far as I could tell.

Wadd cutter would probably be a dog whistle for target shooters. Probably going after 2nd people lol

Well the tards behind the show knows next to nothing about guns......or writing...........or pacing........well anything really.

So, Kate Kane was hungover from 3 Tequila shots, which clearly made her legally drunk (she’s female and assumingly at most 190 lbs) Yet she STILL nails her shots in a shooting competition and breaks the camp record at WEST POINT just by one second, meaning she could’ve done even better if she were any sober. Plus she’s under the influence, liable of being discharged, as well as bore a weapon, which is finable. But she’s amazing at everything, so amazing that she leaves a mark on WEST POINT. Cause she’s a woman and women are coooooool.

This show has a strange idea of how powerful a 9x19mm caliber pistol is. If memory serves me correctly, the tires on these types of armored personnel vehicles are solid rubber, not air filled (as a deterrent for deflation). Regardless, these trucks are graded for taking fire from intermediate rifle cartridges and above. I'm thinking way too deeply into this.

When the season ends (and probably the show) that gag reel at the end of each reaction needs to be its own video.

In regards to the bogus science talk. As an aspiring author, I want to make sure that, when I use technical information in particular fields, I research what I am talking about. For example, I studied crop rotations and common vegetation farmed in the northern hemisphere for a passing mention at a village's crops at a certain time/place. My co-author spent a long time researching metallurgy for the simple purpose of finding the melting point of obsidian. We haven't officially published anything so at best you could say we are aspiring to become *amateurs* and we put in more dedication than these bona fide professionals do.

@@Soridan It's a grind, so I understand why some folks wouldn't bother. However, I also find it rewarding to know I tried very hard to make something comprehensive. Even if it is possible no one will ever read anything I write.

@@knightjamesii7757 it can be a grind, sure, but work is kind of expected when one writes a book. Or so I was led to believe. Also I always found it more interesting than anything when I looked up something for a story (or even a roleplaying campaign). Even back when I couldn't just google something but had to go to a library or talk to experts. Nowadays people have even less excuse with wikis, subreddits, youtube, scientific journals a few clicks away and shady russian sites with tens of thousands of books uploaded if not more. It's freaking magical. Bah, it's so frustrating at times. Anyways. Good luck with your book!

Thank you. I would expect nothing less than a trial. Great things require great effort and all. But talking about this made me think I should alter the bit concerning crops a little so thank you again for that. And the fact that it is so easy to learn about things these days does make it rather frustrating when stories seem things like physics are ignored in a supposedly grounded and realistic show. But if everything were great, nothing would be. So we should at least appreciate these shows for that much.

So I talked to a buddy of mine who was in the military. I ask him questions whenever a show or movie uses the military in it and verify if its accurate or not. I asked him "hey if you went out drinking on your weekend off, come in to work and use a gun in a shooting range, what will happen?" His answer? "Get arrested and get kicked out" I'm an average nerd dude and I found this information. This show probably has thousands of dollars at their disposal and yet they get this very wrong. God this show needs to die in a fire lol

Legends of Tomorrow is pretty good (Seasons 2&3 at least, 1 wasn't and I haven't seen 5 or the back half of 4), but that's mostly cuz it knows what it is and has fun with it instead of actually taking itself so seriously.

I watched a movie recently called "Branded to Kill" it's a trippy gangster film from the 60's that has a final act pretty much dedicated to two master assassins in a standoff. Except, the main assassin is at the disadvantage, not knowing where the other is at. Its thrilling storytelling to see the main character go crazy never knowing not IF he will be taken out, but when and never from where. Meanwhile this guy just has a rifle out on the top level parking lot on top of his target... so there's that.

53:26 "I have a feeling [Alice] going to kill Mouse before the end of this session." Called it early I just realized after watching through this. Damn Mauler is good at predicting these silly writers.
