I’m 67 and never written a comment before but I must ask the question “Who is this man that has the ability to speak to so many in such an intimate and personal way?” I thought I was special in my adoration for this musician but after many years I have come to the realization I am one of thousands that idolize this man for his heart as well as his music. This song gave me chills! It really does sound like Petty is harmonizing with Eddie!

Eddie's voice is the voice of my generation. I hope his voice gets better. I can't imagine how he must feel. I have seen them every time they have been to Kentucky and Cincinnati . My fav band .

I am 65 an have enjoyed so many musicians, but Eddie Vedder is hands down my favorite! He has helped me make it through a real bad period in my life when I felt I couldn’t go on. He has been there for good times , bad times, happy an sad times. I will never get to meet him ,but if I did I’d give him such a big hug an tell him I am thankful he was born with such a talent an good heart. To have wrote such wonderful songs to sing an play! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Keep on playing forever!

Yes, that note in particular is Pettyesque through and through! I had a "Running Down a Dream" feel through most of this track, but every time Eddie sang "freeway" it was a little uncanny.

Eddie's voice calms me down, so much emotion and passion, it makes me happy to hear him sing!!

I was driving my daughter to school, and this song was playing , she’s thirteen , and said that it has a Tom Petty feel, I told her I felt the same thing . I smiled and was proud . Just focusing on myself and respecting her decision, but it doesn’t stop the depression and tears though. She is an amazing and strong woman.
