Eddie has been a hero of mine since 1992, when I was just a confused 15 year boy riding around in my beat-up Oldsmobile station wagon with a Pearl Jam stick man sticker placed proudly on my back windshield. It was the only sticker on my car. Pearl Jam was "my band." I still remember my mother sat down with me during the original airing of their MTV unplugged performance and was equally blown away. That performance affected me deeply. Anytime thereafter when the song Alive was playing, my mother would tell me, "This is your song." It took me a while to understand what she meant by this, but she was trying to tell me the truth about my father in her own unique way. Side note: back in the early 90s before Kurt died, my friends and everybody thought Eddie would be the first to go. His raw intensity and on-stage acrobatics seemed like a perfect recipe for an early exit to all of us. We dreaded the thought of it. All these years later, Eddie is the last man standing amongst a temple of fallen rock Gods. He is a rock and an inspiration to myself and too an entire generation. You are a very loved man and like family to myself and all your fans. God bless you, Ed.

My daughter had EDS an even more rare form she was the 82 person diagnosed on the planet she's only 6 and so brittle has the biggest heart and personality of anyone I've ever met hope they find a cure 1 day wishing your child well god bless

We are so incredibly lucky to have Eddie with us. I feel privileged to be able to hear new music from him. Sadly many of his peers are no longer with us. He still has it - in fact his voice has aged like fine wine.

Eddie is a great artist and more important: a good man!

For me this is probably the most moving song I have ever listened to. It's brilliant. I have EB Simplex. The pain it gives me is just a fraction of what the poor kids, like Eli, go through. I also have a mild case of EB, I've gotten used to it and are hoping they find a cure for not only me, but for all the people who may have it worse than me.

A great cause to get behind. Help those in pain and try and prevent it from happening again. I suffer from three kinds of chronic pain. But it is nothing compared to those who have been infected with this issue. Many Thanks to Mr. Veddder for all of your help. This is what we must do now, help others in ways they cannot but you can. Let it empower you for a feeling inside that is really unmatched. helping others at what your good at!

It's been just more than a year since I started listening to Eddie but it's been a miracle to me. I was going through the hardest of my times and he has always been like a redemption to me. An old neighbour of mine's Mum was also a foster Mum. She fostered a young boy with EB & had written a beautiful lil book outlining the pain & joy, daily care & it has pictures. I read it. I didn't know anything about this condition. The book was so good, I wanted to send to Oprah's book club. If you've never experienced conditions like this or anything for that matter, the only way to be aware is to read, listen to music & watch videos plus there's always docos & movies. I find books & music a lil easier as it can be heartbreaking sitting through a whole doco or movie on certain subjects. Art keeps us aware of each other & the world. Beautiful song, beautiful clip. Many people say Time heals all! If you keep that thought in your head every day,, whether it's a great day or a not so great day, then yeah, it's just a matter of time. I shared the great faith I have with my brother is one of the top world geneticists. We come from a family of scientists ( medicine} with a background in music as a much necessary inspiration in our lives. Pearl jam songs carried me to and back from my job as an eye care provider during the pandemic. Rachmaninov was too heavy. I discovered Eddie Vedder in a TV special in the beginning of the pandemic. He sang alone while playing the organ. I realized he was the lead singer in Pearl Jam a few days later. I already had some of there songs in “My music”, on my Apple device. His voice lead me to all the music he has done. His delivery in art and growth as a human being is very inspiring to those who live through similar life’s challenges outside the public eye. The strength it takes to do that in the public eye is most probably harder at times. I started listening to both Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder music. I was seeing the evolution of life when we are young, so talented, raw to the the experienced singer who can honour U2 in singing there songs at the Lincoln Center, this year. Thank-you Mr. Vedder. Thank-you Pearl Jam . Thank-you, Miss Olivia Vedder, for your incredible voice. You help the people in health care and the scientists in their commitment to treat and continue to find cures for rare illnesses. You help all those others in the jobs that support us all. For those who suffer, let’s continue believing, It’s a matter of time! ❤
