His songs have healed so many of us in all different walks of life. It's a beautiful gift he shares with us all through his music, his voice his passion. I can listen to a certain song and it lifts me, another to give a different perspective, Just Breathe has helped me put into words what I have needed to say for so long to my dear husband who has supported and held me through everything. Thankyou Eddie for the silent times you have helped 🙏🏻💞

I read most of the comment here and they all talk how Eddie has touched their hearts and even saved them. And they are not talking only about the music but mainly for this man as human being. On the one hand I suppose it is a burden to read all these since you realize that your existence carries a responsibility that you never chose to have and maybe others want accidentally to give you this part. On the other hand you realize how many injured people are out there in the world because of a wide spectrum varying from accidents in birth to oppressive regimes. And they all seek for a comfort or therapy in their wounds. And if you offer them that just by expressing your own personality, then an accident happens; you never intended but a miracle happens in someone other lives. So there are many Eddies all around the world and Eddie Vedder is one of them. Eddie is the action that one of us makes and smb else's life becomes better. Eddie is not a savior but just one of us who sees wounds and want to heal them because I imagine he has his own.

I don't ever pretend to know the mind of an artist simply because they are a public figure, and by extension , we come to know aspects of their worlds... but I think this is a very plausible explanation for who Eddie is and what his creative expression has come to mean to many of us

I basically grew up listening to this man's voice thanks to my father and his impeccable musical tastes. But it was just recently that while watching the Pinkpop 1992 concert with him here on KZread, something clicked inside me. Now here I am, smiling like an idiot just thinking about how sweet, delicate and genuine this man feels, how I'm so quickly becoming fond of him. Thanks Eddie, you're a treasure.🙏🏼❤️

Forty three years old not that that matters much to me. I've followed his music for a long long time and it's gotten me through some tough times. I haven't always made the right choices in my life but many of the songs from him have helped me out. I have never seen live performances but I have bought many of his albums and still have them both digitally and on compact disc. My favorite song is "Release me".

If only other people had as much compassion for others as this man does!

His voice shelters millions of soul refugees.

It’s amazing to me, he absolutely reeks of soul, and his voice is like a fine wine, just keeps getting better with age. Seen him live many times, and always felt that each time was better than the last, and I had walked out of the first show thinking it was the best show I’d ever seen. Cheers, to many more years, filled with many more songs Eddie!

Eddie's voice has had my heart from the first note I ever heard him sing his voice is so filled a passion that is so hauntingly beautiful long after the song stops I can here it echo in my mind one of the greats he is a true artist

This man has a way with words, but more importantly a way with his voice. It’s says so much more than the lyrics. Incredible. It has defined a generation

Eddie's voice will never die. He is the voice of everybody. And for over 30 years his voice has stayed pure and true. In my eyes he has been the best voice to music and he always stays true, always stays humble, and always stays eddie vedder if I ever, which I know would never happen.
