I loved their first album, ten, then I drifted away from them over the years. then I got sirius radio in my car and they started a Pearl Jam station 2 or 3 years ago. Pearl Jam is one of my favorite 'band' channels that I flip between when driving, the concert replays from all over the world going back to 1992 are awesome. Eddie and other band members occasionally do audience call-ins and stuff, whenever I've heard him on sirius, Eddie has been cool about taking questions but he'll also joke around with callers, no big rock star ego or anything. I like they have that legacy of going up against Ticketmaster (even though they lost). Eddie and the band will def call 'bullshit' when they see it, that is the true spirit of a rocker to me!

Responding from the future and the past, lol. I had the luck to see Pearl Jam live in the 90's and he HATED the crowd singing along. He would deliberately switch up his lyrics and the tempo of the songs to keep people from joining in, which you can still see him do in this video to a degree. Still a most excellent concert from a talented band. I think he finally somewhat warmed up to the sing-alongs.

I was 19 when their first album dropped. Worked in a record store and fell in love with their music immediately. I've seen them in concert more times than I can count and every time is a magical experience. Not every band can pull off a seamless 3 hour concert that pulls everyone into a collective vibe. Pearl Jam achieves this every time. Very cool that you're into them at 15. I highly recommend you go see them live. It will become a core memory.

I watched Singles again the other night. 1992. So many crazy world events were swirling at that time and PJ were radiating their success from 10 to an insurmountable wave of musical frenzy. Smart man that Cameron Crowe to book Jeff, Stone, and Eddie in the flick. It is such fun to look back at Pearl Jam's inception and subsequent prolific evolution to a 3 decade legacy. What exceptionally gifted gentlemen they are to sustain in this business and to consistently keep their fan flock together over several generations. Vitalogy has aged quite well. So have you, sons of Seattle.
