BUT...when it comes to "We need a rock Star who the world will come behind" it's Bono. Been for decades. And the God Father of all of it is Sir Paul. I think even Eddie would agree, ask him...or Dave Grohl...both would agree.

Anyone else getting serious Peter Gabriel vibes from Eddie's vocals in this? That's not a bad thing at all. Pearl Jam has always been one of my favorite bands and Gabriel is right up there with them. Solsberry Hill is easily in my all time top five. It's just that if you do the audible version of squinting just s little, it's completely easy to picture Peter singing this.

Eddie Vedder sounds nothing like Peter Gabriel. To start, Eddie Vedder is a baritone, while Peter Gabriel is a low tenor... So.. Eddie Vedder is one of a kind, the same way Peter Gabriel is unique. End of. :)

@@danauruci2351 You realize that both men produced music that wasn't a cappella, right? That the music that both men were instrumental in creating and adding their voices to had several musical instruments, melodies, rhythm, etc, right? In no way, shape, or form did I say the two men sound anything alike in vocal quality. I've been listening to both since the early 90's (mid-80's in Gabriel's case) and am well aware of what their singing voices sound like and the range of each.

I been with Eddie, Andy and Chris from em Bad Radio day's. Chris and Andy everyday would have a song ready for each other and compare who this was the best quite a bit of songs came out of it including footsteps which Chris had done first, and then send the table but I'm working Stone someone put the tape out even got as far as Vancouver said he got a hold of it and the rest is history. But anyway this LP had the grown on me but now it's one of my favorites. NASA picked the perfect song, a pre emp what's to come space wise. Alternative forever it's in my soul
