Ecological Collapse, Technology, and the History of Human Civilizations, Jared Diamond, UCLA
Ғылым және технология
Diamond applies what he’s learned about the past to humanity’s future. He’s certain that his question is the world’s question: How are we going to cope with our current human population explosion which we must consider in combination with today’s enormously destructive technology? We can ignore what’s going on, struggle through a terrible time when scarce resources fuel monumental conflicts made all the more horrific by advanced technology and, in the end, survive as we did 50,000 years ago. Or we can learn from our mistakes and survive as civilized society. The answer, according to Dr. Diamond, is up for grabs. And we’ll know in 40 to 80 years.

If Humanity were genuinely 'civilised' it would offer the option to live according to the 'laws' of nature, not force people into an artificial existence dressed up as 'progress'.. Greed has no option but to eventually consume itself..

This is the belief that nature is somehow nurturing, pristine and laced with purity and harmony. Nature in fact will kill you at any given opportunity. It's the modern world that keeps you safe.
I didn’t hear much about ecological collapses. And everything he said is pretty much common knowledge as far as I’m concerned.
Geography today is being joined ...silk and road...the shanghai organization...Europe will see itself as a valuable part and parcel of Eurasia...If it wants to grow/develop along with the rest of the continent...which is developing in a seriously integrated approach...allowing, even fostering diversity within and as a part of unity...
That is a bad comb over. Someone close please talk to him.
Biohistory explains a lot more.
Some built weapons of steel...some built pyramids and temples
We should all thank I. G. Farben and Mònsanto for this state of affairs?

No no no people invested in foreign aid to create "good" institutions see themselves as the best sort of "institution possible, and act to grow their wealth...seeing that as the way to achieve their goals...Duh!
