This is really good much better than the instruction sheet.. However if you have insulation , oh lord !!! 5 hours of frustrating getting this tube down to the bottom hole. Its finally done.

In the event you have insulation behind your wall, and it had vapour barrier over it that you just drilled/cut through, make sure to apply some tuck tape to seal it again before continuing with your install.

Can you plug in more then 1 component into the top receptacle by adding an outlet adapter? Planning on mounting cable box to back of tv. So I need 2 plugs at the top.

Is this kit code compliant, for it to be so I would have thought the NM cord would be in the tube and the other low voltage wires on the outside?

Hello, thank you for the question - yes it's code compliant the NM cord can be run behind walls without the tube. The tube in this case is just there to help guide the low voltage wires, not to protect them.

what if I have a cross 2x4 obstructing? The wall I intend to place my TV used to be a shared wall of the 1 car garage (it's now a bedroom).

@@flipper283 I haven't. Yet. I've surmised that I'll have to cut the drywall and drill through the 2x4's then patch it.

In all honesty it'd probably be easier to open a 2" wide vertical strip in the drywall, make your installation and then replace the drywall strip, mud and paint. Not sure how else you'd blindly get through the cross member. They make drill bits that are flexible and long that you can drill 1“ holes etc then once you're through, you pull the bit back with your wire attached.

@@joelmatteis6189 true. I'd have to do it about 5 times. Speaker wire needs to travel about 10 feet across and down 5 feet.

So the plate gets screwed into the sheet rock?

Hello, the screws actually work with the clamps to compress the dry wall. Turning the screws clockwise flips the clamps out towards the dry wall, while turning them counterclockwise loosens the clamps and flips them inward away from the wall.
