Everybody just talks about how unfair is the fact that it's so easy to eat 3000+ calories but it takes so much effort to burn it. But if you look it the other way, I find it fascinating how good the body is at managing energy. The fact that a 3 minute meal can give you enough energy to do high intensity cardio for several hours is mindblowing.

ngl, if the body didn't work like that we would've starved to death on a tree 20k years ago. not going against what you're saying, but saying it's "unfair" is silly at best. And side note, while 3k start being hard, your brain and body burn 1-1.5k calories a day doing essentially nothing. All you need is burn the remaining calories

This is probably the greatest "you can't outrun a bad diet" illustration ever. I'm pretty calorie conscious and even I was shocked that that brownie was 1k calories.

Will, I think you are truly doing a service to people by non-confrontationally showing how easy it is to consume as opposed to burn calories. Keep up the good work.
As a stuggling fat guy iv found wills videos very helpful. I was 340 pounds this time last year and now in 280. With many ups and downs i keep going to my favorite foods and "pack on the calories" as will said. Getting this advise is slowly helping me develope better eating habbits and its nice hearing this info from a former fat kid like myself that has a black hole for a stomach like i do. Just wanted you to know Will your an inspiration to fat guys all over the world that we can make better choices and change our habits. Thank you

Probably the best quality video I've seen regarding exercise and food and how food can destroy your goals for gains when you're not careful. Subbed btw. I've recently started my body-building career at 40 years old, though I've worked out and kept in shape over the years with cycling, running, and light gym. But now I really want to get that shredded body.

@@metalbeaver6294 The trick is to think critically about what's worth tracking, so you maintain your sanity. Certain condiments I don't track for example. Done intelligently with critical thinking and intention, there is no downside.

@@metalbeaver6294 gum (depending on the brand) is MAD low in calories though. A piece for certain brands is 5 calories, which you’ll DEFINITELY burn in an hour, even on a resting rate basis.

I trained intensely for 7 months for a marathon. The day of the event, I ran 29 km in 3 hours before giving up, for a total of 2465 calories and 39 996 steps. Your challenge is like doing a 120 km run in a day !

I know will probably won’t see this, but props to you, I’m genuinely inspired. I’m in relatively good shape and I tried to burn 1000 calories in an hour today….wtf. Doing this 10x that amount in that time span is crazy. The commitment to your channel and viewers is what I believe makes you different from other creators. You might not ever be the most popular creator but but will last the longest from how true you are to yourself and viewers. The popular channels attract the viewers who care for the thoughtless content, but later be abandoned but you attract the views who are true to themselves

Will, your work ethic is something to be admired. I recently completed the Whole 30 diet just to see if I could. It was honestly fairly easy once I put my mind to it. Ended up dropping quite a bit of weight but an equally valuable takeaway was a more positive relationship with food.

I think you succeeded since you did not count in your BMR, and you also worked out for an entire day without taking any pre-workout or caffeine. In the end you pointed out that unhealthy diets cannot be undone, and I can see how you could have made this challenge a little easier by choosing to consume more nutrient-dense food, which might have made you more energetic. In addition to the message you conveyed, what you had done is mind-bogglingly amazing.

Yup im.glad he skipped the swimming because that was terribly irresponsible.
Something to be cautious/mindful of is that the caloric burn data from our wearables/trackers have innacuracies between 20 - 90%! For anyone challenged in losing weight, its best to avoid looking at what our devices spit out in terms of calories burned if youre using this data to guide your caloric intake. Big mistake i used to make.
