Ramsey ~ What we call The Around the World Bag / Rounda Whirl is being utilized by so few Practitioners today that it a shame because, I have no one to watch /admire their creativity, except for a small pool of talented people near me ! I know there is so much more that can be created with this apparatuses ... I think it is gonna happen and this practice will be common. Me and a friend made one of these in the early 90’s from a length of rope and a fishing net buoy. It had a length of about 5 feet, and we would use it almost like a full contact game of swing ball, having to block , dodge, and fire it back and forth between us. Downside of the hard plastic buoy was that if it tagged you, it hurt like hell, but it sure did sharpen our defences. Great stuff 👍

Nice. I could see how that chain and metal bag connection adds some weight to it. Is it much different in feel if only a lightweight rope attaches to the bag?

This is just marvellous P. Professor... Think i'm gonna build mine asap... However this is a normal speed bag, what if i put a little heavier one on the spindle? And in case, how much should It weight? Do you believe it could badly affect the motion in some way? We use all size speed bags for our Rounda Whirl Bag (Around The World Bag) some work better with rope or straps, some with chain ... The longer the rope/chain the more difficult ! We do about 10 or 12 inches ! I remember from an older video you did with this apparatus, You were using a rope and one of the plastic swivels from everlast, Now I know the rope and the chain will have a different feel from the two, My guess is the chain might need a faster response than the rope, But I haven't set one of these up yet, and your expertise response will be much appreciated...Ralph

Looks awesome, but definitely doesn't simulate the rotational punch variations that a spar bar does. I would say they're 2 different pieces of equipment.

@@PunchProfessor My garage has wooden beams that show so it was simple to bolt on a 4x4. It is fun and makes a good warmup too, although I use it at different times during a workout. I have 3 different size bags to hang on it.. perfect addition for my gym, thanks!

If i ever meet some one who can move their head like that Ill make sure to drop my gloves down and just leave. Bad practice gets you conditioned to bad movements. your simulating something that will never happen in a fight. unless its a side hook coming from above?

After time it gets to be the same old, same old, same old thing. It helps to do something different ... This bag is fun, and a challenge... Rounda Whirl is fast, and we put a bunch of attention towards being accurate... It's not anything that I invented, it's been around from way back Old School, it just kinda got lost... You must hit it perfect to keep it level, which requires more precision. Can you throw uppercuts on the Spar Bar?
