Back in the 70s, we used to reference to “wispy” layers as “feathering”. We’d say, “I want my hair feathered.” I always thought I looked best with a bit of “feathering”, and I’m so glad it’s back in style!

Such a tried and true classic haircut! You demonstrated it perfectly! So many hairdressers were not taught this in todays beauty schools, and it is truly a lost art. Today we are mostly left with un-even,very heavy areas left around the face and very unhappy customers that are constantly looking for a new hairdresser Thank you! I'm still in the the market for one in the my Picayune Ms area that also doesn't charge an arm and leg but still can deliver a fantastic classic haircut!

That is because she was having to explain everythjng in detail for ppl didnt know how to do the cut. Thank you for showing us a way to simplify the haircut. I have done this cut on my hair minus the texturuzing

Thank you! I'm a big Moroccan Oil gal, love their Strong Hair Spray. I also love Loreals Tecni art Infinium Sprays, both 3 & 4 are great. A lot of people love Kristin Ess Hairspray and she has a great price point as well

You can do it but it would be best to customize it more so had some length to the face and reduce width in the cheekbones.

This is off topic...but I would love it if you could show us how to cut Ruby Rose's short hairstyle. She has a pixie but the longer bangs and crown hair makes it look nicely feminine.

I noticed after you made the first cut in front (the twist then twist again bang) that your first over direct cut immediately following that …. Then you cut into the guide. Was the first cut straight down (twist twist) just to basically get the bulk out rather than obtaining a guide? Tia 😊 Love your channels!!

Also I know about twisting the hair in the front and what that does…. But what is the purpose of twisting your fingers in other parts of the haircut? I notice you say “twist” a lot before you say “cut” I never learned twisting your fingers … is that a technique? And what does it accomplish? Thanks so much
