​@@poodledog8479it's not a wig, but it is a mannequin. It's actually harder to do bangs on a mannequin than a real person, because the hair is sewn in the stand straight up.

This is one of the best tutorials for cutting layer hair and the way she explains it, makes things so easy . Not to mention that Summer is so sweet and very calming and takes her time . Most stylist do not have the patience to explain and once they start cutting , you can not stop them. Also, I admire the fact that she has a pre cut conversation with her client , in order to understand better what she wants exactly 💯✨ how she wants her hair to look like . Thank you for this video

I’m going back to cosmetology school to finish at the age of 52…yep, 52. I was put on bed rest when I was pregnant with my son - I was half way thru school, and I never returned…I actually ended up having to get tendinitis and carpal tunnel surgeries on both wrists shortly after he was born - from severe fluid retention during my pregnancy. My son turned 18 this year…so now it’s my turn, to catch my dream! Anyways - as someone who has been out of the game for quite a while, your channel is phenomenal! Thank you so much for giving such in depth, and amazing tutorials…you are awesome!

Don't feel bad. I'm 8 weeks from graduating beauty school and keep hearing from educators that we get our "real training" out there in the salon! It's infuriating. I'm thinking wth are we paying $20K to the school for then?! Lol And we do have some amazing educators at my school, don't get me wrong. People don't realize how much we learn or how much there is to know about hair! I eat these videos up so I can have some skillswhen I start my career in a couple months LOL

One of the best long hair cut with layers. I like how u kept it straight and blow dried at the end so we could see the end result. Everyone curls the hair at the end after haircut which is so pointless since no layers can be seen.

I watched you do the shorter layer face framing cut & it turned out soo beautiful!!! In beauty school we did not learn this type of cut. Our layers were a lot longer. I love the short layers & all of the movement!!!! I was the only one out of 3 classes who passed my state board the first time. I was soo happy. I got all A's & one B on my test during school & the B was in electricity. Beauty school was a lot of fun for me. Great job on your cuts & styles. To me, a shag would have more layers and be much more textured! I can try and add one to my line up! And yes it would work on thick wavy texture

It’s kinda wild that my teachers at aveda have taught me this cut so many times but in different steps/ phrasing. This is a SOLID haircut and you teach it very well!

I really wish you could could do my 65 yr. Old head of tush long hair. My niece is a hair dresser but hates to cut long hair! It's hard to find good people now days to do what you want! My hair is longer then it ever has been in my life! White mixed with silver/grey! Thanks for sharing your great work!!! Keep up the great work!
