Love your tutorials. Wish more hairstylists would learn from you because most of the stylists in my area don’t take the necessary time to properly layer the hair. It’s very frustrating. You do such a beautiful job!

Oh, yay! This is so lucky considering I lobbed off half my length in a fit of madness a few days ago when I could no longer deal with how heavy and hot it was. I've used your butterfly tutorial before and kind of improvised my own side-part so I'm super excited to try this! I'm never satisfied with professional haircuts because I have way too much hair, with an annoyingly inconsistent curl pattern. To be honest I don't blame hairstylists for not wanting to deal with my hair for longer than absolutely necessary, in fact I sympathize, but your videos have been a life saver.

Wish if you were near me to cut my hair. You took your time. Hairdressers seem to spend 10 mins and the cut is finished. Will show this tutorial to my hairdresser and hopefully it will close to your cut. Great job Summer

Hi Summer! Super thick-haired, side-parted newbie viewer here! 👋 I am not a cosmetologist or anything close, just a regular Jane trying to get some ideas for my hair. My face shape is much more flattered with long hair, so I keep it at least a little past my shoulders. But I swear it feels like I am *literally* wearing a *rug* on my head, especially in the summer! I just watched your video that explained round VS. square layers and in it you mentioned that round layers can be better for thick hair. I have literally NEVER had a hairdresser vertically part my hair to do layers so I'm thinking I've only ever had square layers. I can't understand why, since everyone who has ever cut my hair has remarked on how ridiculously thick it is and I always ask them to use thinning shears after the cut. Would you suggest that I ask for round layers for my next cut? Thanks in advance!
