I have to admit this right now, I am 19 years old, I have NEVER curled my hair before, my mom always does it with her barrel with clamp iron and it always scares me, even when I was little, I have a fear being burned especially since I witnessed someone’s skin being burnt and like falling off, sorry very graphic, and I never curled my hair, I always straightened it, when I saw this curler I was EXTREMELY hesitant about buying it but I did, I curled my hair for the first time today and it was hard to get used to and my hair looked like crap and the curls weren’t that good, seeing you do your curls and parting your layers by upper and lower helps me and now I can try this method tomorrow! Your tutorial was AMAZING! Much better than the one by Chi!!! Thank you for making this video, extremely helpful and I can’t wait to update everyone on my progress!!

Thank you. this is a great look and looks relatively easy to use. For those of us with frizzy hair, is it critical to straighten it first, though, or will the tool eliminate the frizz?

395 degrees, 17 seconds. 3 curls on bottom 5 curls on the tops. -try and get as close to the root -hold longer for a defined curl

Thanks for this video! I never used a curl iron and randomly found this on Amazon with super high reviews and I would have never known about the lava version if you didn't explain! When I first used it, it felt a bit strange cause my curls didn't turn out the way I wanted them to, but your video helped a lot when I tried it for the next two tries! I've gotten so many compliments where people thought I got my hair styled up by a hairdresser 😅 Thanks again for this video 💕

Have you ever tried alternating the direction of the curls? I'm very curious if they look more natural with this, or if same direction curls (like you do in the video) are the way to go. I can't find any videos where ppl specifically try alternating curls with the Spin N Curl. My Spin N Curl arrives tomorrow!

I’ve done alternating directions with the Spin N Curl too and it looks great! I go back and forth with which way I like to do it, but both def work 😊 Have fun playing around with it!
