Greetings from Finland 🤘
Not really very early Nightwish. This is "Last of the wilds" from their sixht album "Dark passion play". Originally instrumental, but single with Finnish lyrics ft.Jonsu released only in Finland.
in the beginning there was a there was a Finnish popstar named Jonsu. then God turned the lights on.
I very much appreciate your honest reaction. This, to me, has a distinctly more poppy sound, maybe because Jonsu (yes that is who was singing) is a pop singer. This is, I'm pretty sure, the only song that singer did with them. I like it because it shows, to me, how much Nightwish has grown. Interestingly, they still did this song, now called "Last of the Wilds" as of a few years ago, as a musical interlude in their concerts. No singing, giving the singer a break. And, the instrumentation has changed quite a bit giving it a distinctly more Nightwish sound that we are more familiar with.
I agree! I hate this whit lyrics, and I dont like her voice on this. And as a Finn who speaks and understands the language, the lyrics are too fast and I can’t get to the feeling of the song. There is instrumental version of this which is one of my fav NW songs 😅. Waken 2013. Thanks for reacting ❤🇫🇮.
