I have always loved this version. The lyrics are pure Tuomas and I love hearing them in Finnish

Tuomas wrote the lyrics; Indica (Jonsu's band) opened for Nightwish on their DPP tour; afterwards Tuomas also produced Indica's first album in English (A Way Away).

Singer on this was Jonsu from band named Indica. Jonsu is the singer of the Indica. Indica is/was (made comeback 2023) a Finnish pop-rock female band founded in 2001 playing music described as mystical and romantic. The band came to the attention of the general public with their platinum-selling debut album Ikuinen virta (2004). Indica has also made one English album Shine .

This is Nightwish and Jonsu is a singer and her band vas touring with Nightwish and there came the idea that she sings in this track.

Yes, song znd lyric by Tuomas. Jonsu's band Indica has 1 or 2 tracks written abd produced by Tuomas. As we know, Tuomas likes to dive into different genre of music to expand his horizon. Remember jazzy Slow Love Slow?

This track was recorded after Tarja was fired. It's written in Finnish. When Tarja was in band she sang songs in Finnish, because it was her mother tongue. Anette is Swedish, so they invited Jonsu to record it. This song was probably written when Tarja was in band and she was supposed to sing it. It is known that Tuomas wrote several songs for DPP album before Tarja was fired.

I've heard this rumour before that it was written for Tarja, but all I've ever seen in interviews with Tuomas is that the songs for DPP were written in between singers after Tarja left.

@@DeepeningTheListening This is written about in official Nightwish biography of Tarja era, Once upon a Nightwish. Between June and July 2005, band took a three-week break from touring, allowing Marco to record vocals for another project. Tuomas immersed himself in process of creating new songs, and said that they just appeared one after another, which even he himself became " in a frenzy".

@@alexr8817 I've just looked it up in their biography "Once upon a Nightwish" (page 270): "Tuomas apparently had loads of song ideas, but he really had no idea what kind of voice he was composing them for. The only thing that was certain by that point was that it would not be Tarja."

Not my favourite version ot this. I like the instrumental VERY much tho’ , Her voice does not mach and I dont think this needs vocals, as a Finn. 🇫🇮
