    I know this video is a year old but I was waiting for like a year to add a plane to my hangar. Your video was CRITICAL to building my plane right. Can't fly it till next Saturday (Week from today) but very much looking forward to it. This video, your follow up and the Flite Test guys beating on one of these, oh and the very reasonable price for the PnP (PnF) version were all factors. Also my first tail dragger. My other 2 traditional planes are tricycles. Cheers from Union City!

    Discover RC Quick question, when it came to the stad in the manual it's suggested using double-sided tape, is that something that's necessary? also I'm assuming they're talking about putting the tape between the fuselage and stab?

    Great video and appreciate you doing that and showing which screws to use where. Got a question, I understand that some motors have broken off due to stress so would you Recommend removing the Cowl and prop and installing for five carbon fiber short pieces in there to reinforce it? Thank you

    Hey Cliff - I hadn't heard that, but am not really following the threads on this model. If that is true, I would definitely check that everything is tight from the factory. It shouldn't be an issue unless you are doing aggressive flying - if so, a little reinforcement won't harm anything or add much weight.

    I have 1 questions about the Valiant, My rear landing gear wobbles back and forth, what can I do to make it stay straight like your?

    What did you use to test your aileron servo?

  • @daverc51

    i just got mine this week and the ailerons were actually labeled , but yes the screws are not. but its not difficult to figure out which ones go where.

    it's not hard - of course people are at different levels so just trying to point it out. I heard the ailerons are labeled on some of these now-that's good. Why not expect everything to be done right? We pay good money for these things.

    I’m in the middle of putting mine together. This is only my 4th eflite plane but I am learning that they are half assed with their manual instructions. The whole rear assembly isn’t fun to put together. The posts didn’t want to line up. I stripped one of those two screws out before getting it snugged up. Hopefully it never has to come apart because they are so deep that you can’t get to them with anything. I hate screws that sit down in a hole like that. This is the worst build out of the 4 and I’m not finished yet. I didn’t fasten the wing down because they didn’t label the servos. I’m assuming the short ones are the flaps but I want to be positive before trying to screw the wing down because I have a feeling those screws are going to be a biatch too. This plane better be fun to fly.

    Hi there this is my first BNF plane and the build alone is more intense than my previous (aeroscout 1.1m) and the manual is useless!! Im SO LOST!! How do you know which screws to use where? I have 4 different screw types. I haven’t even been able to get the landing gear on yet as i don’t know which go where! Thank you!

    If you don't have one of those servo test like you show is there any way to know which is aileron and flaps?

    Any idea whether the landing gear might fit Sport Cub?

  • @DiscoverRC

    @DiscoverRC

    7 жыл бұрын

    Don't think so - sport cub is recessed wire gear and this is aluminum plate. It would take some modification.

    how do you determine which plug are for the flaps vs the aileron without that box?

  • @DiscoverRC

    @DiscoverRC

    you can just plug them into the rx and see what each one does - I believe the leads are now coming labeled.

    they don't come labled at all, the one set of leads from the wing are longer but I have no idea which channel to put them into. I guess its a 50/50 either channel 6 or 3

    unbox PLUS build video in under 5 minutes? :O Call the police! :D Isn't it kinda funny how smaller planes tend to be more detailed (see through windows)? And yep.. goes for most brands.. Handy to have that rebind plug indeed.. OR just use a Futaba FASST system offcourse, so you Never need to rebind :D Oeps.. sorry for that rant :P Nice plane all-in-all! I'm a 100% sure it will be a comfy plane to fly.. Nice size as well.. not too small.. not to big (to transport) :)

    ;) Yeah.. from my own experience, rebinding is something that has to be done quite offten (allmost every time on my Blade quads :S) Quite puzzling for a Futaba flyer :$ I'm completely sure this plane will be very relaxing to fly :)
