Just got one, got it assembled, got the radio programmed and bound. Just waiting for a calm day, it's been a little breezy and I haven't flown in about 20 years, so I want it calm.

My 4S 2200 batteries are a little to large for that battery compartment. The 1800's are just about the same size as the 2200 3S. It is a blast but I only use full power for verticles.

This plane has been a blast. 4s is a thrill ! Flying for a few weeks in windy conditions is also fun. I use a 10x7 3 blade Master Screw. 23 mph. Gusting to 33mph. SEND IT ! 🇺🇸

Nice! I've always liked the transformation a 3 blade prop can make for a plane.

Well, if you install the motor from the Yellow 1.1 T-28 all is good. It would be the exact same setup right?? Nice flight Gary, the Valiant really zipped around the sky. Thumbs up. AirHammer out!!

Full scale valiant doesn't exist.

Did you keep the stock esc? I Wana try this on my carbon cub I have heard you can with the park 480 and 30amp setup

I don't understand the urge to fit bigger batteries, 4s costs twice a 3s and weighs significantly more. So a bit more grunt? It goes vertical for an extra 5 seconds? You're great to listen to Gary, very calming and you fly great,often at half throttle , which makes a 4s pointless, rather buy two 3s for same money. After 6min of flying my brain hurts so I don't need longer in the air. Just my slant on it, I notice you didn't say either way good or bad. I do enjoy your videos thank you

I'm going to try to stay in this hobby using no more than 3S batteries. Low, slow and frugal will be my motto. 😊

I 100 % agree I replaced the original prop with a 11x8 apc 3s 2200 roaring top battery 6 plus min flight easy i can get 8 if i putter around and from level straight vertical no issues. I can knife edge figure 8 at 5/8 throttle. No need for heavy 4s . Jmo
