I have been flying this P-47 for over a year now and it is still my favorite flying 1.2 warbird. I'm looking forward to the Avios Super Tucano 1.6 to come out soon. I hear it is one of the best flying warbirds.

I just ordered this beauty (HH Father's day sale😊) through the BPRC links. And I'm super stoked to get her in the air STAT! I saw the other plane you mentioned on another YT channel - hint, he's a "model AV8R" like the rest of us 😊 It does look like a sweet plane 👍

Pulled the trigger on this beauty yesterday - via BPRC links 😊 - after toiling over chosing this OR big daddy Draco. Both planes were on a nice HH father's day sale- Draco was only $500?!? Tried to make the "responsible" choice and stay out of the doghouse with a this P47. Then my wife said,"You should've ordered the Draco..."😮 oh well. Still, cant go wrong with an eflight 1.2m bnf warbird. The T28 is, by far, my favorite flyer right now. Stoked to see how this one shakes out for me. Thanks Pham!! 👍

One of the sweetest flying warbirds I've ever flown, but it's definitely a 4S machine. Feels like a trainer to me! Chunky, wide set gear legs & big wheels make for superb grass handling. There is a tendency to nose over just as you get moving, but other than that, completely vice free! They slow down to an absolute crawl with flaps for landing. Always a pleasure to fly.

Nice to see they actually chose the right P-47 this time. The Razorback is cool. This looks like it would be almost impossible to take off on grass if its anything less than a putting green. Many warbird taildraggers will tip over if they hit any rough turf. The gear looks flimsy, and unforgiving too. Hand launching might be a better option if you fly off grass, or arent the best pilot yet. I'm sure it has more than enough power. Nice to hear that Eflite is finally allowing some access to Forward Programming on BNF models. I usually end up doing a factory reset and wiping all that nice bnf programming. Your lawn is looking better. The more you mow it short, the tighter it will grow and the weeds wont make it patchy. I mow my runway 3x a week as short as my rider will go. It really works.

  • @BrianPhillipsRC

I need to start doing that, but now it's such a hassle to get the mower out! We have to move like 5-6 bikes, then the tractor, then the zero turn can make it's triumphant exit...what a pia...but you're 1000% right, mow, mow, mow - it's easy to do, and I can do it every day at like 2" tall, but just didn't think about the fact that I would be killing off the weeds too - good point!

  • @memcrew1

It’s the tendency of the prop to pull the nose to the left(yaw left) on take off, or high angles of attack(nose up), requiring use of right rudder input to counteract.

Why oh why aren't we getting LEDs at this price range? No suspension? Give us softer tyres then. The plane needs a bit more pep so why not put the BL15 1050kv maule motor in to match the improved esc? That to me is an improved version of the P47.

They are. Just keep your eyes peeled. Re-releases are a huge thing now, since the Rx'es they were being used became unbuildable, since the chip they needed for AS3X/SAFE were GONE...so this is part of production issues of covid too, and logistics delays. Some of what you're seeing was supposed to release early LAST year...hence the close re-release scheduled.

Hi, let me ask what low voltage alarm setting do you recommend on 4S 3200mAh? I have set it to 3.55 per cell. What do you think is it okay?

  • @BrianPhillipsRC

    @BrianPhillipsRC

That would be fine, but to be fully transparent, I don't usually set the alarms on the planes, since they can be quite annoying. Keep in mind, the LVP and LVC are already setup on the stock Avian ESC's that come in the BNF, but you can also adjust this from the ESC programming menus, if you don't want to use the Telemetry Alarms. When I use cheap voltage alarms, I'll set them to 3.3VDC for prop planes, and 3.6VDC for EDF's, and this has served me well, fwiw

If your grass is well kept, manicured grass, with a smooth base of soil - you could fly this plane all day long off that type of grass strip...but for us, the area just past our "runway" (AKA driveway) is either, grass too tall, or the ground is too bumpy...so I'd have to rent a roller or some such thing to help get the conditions improved to the point of success with some of the smaller planes like this. I could land without issues, but takeoff - that's a different story for my situation. Yours might be different. Just to play the devils advocate here...you can fly a UMX P-51 off a grass strip, if it's a green at a nice golf course ;)

Okay, little secret. I have been flying this plane with 2200mAh 3S 30C packs all week (AFTER WE FILMED) and it is GLORIOUS. We will be filming more footage. The CG in the manual is a guideline. Just cram it all the way FORWARD into the firewall, if you're using 4000mAh 4S and you'll be fine. Use takeoff flaps for more aerobatic maneuvers, to wake up your elevator/pitch response.

They're in the basement. One of them was ready for our second thoughts and then flap mod, but I crashed it like an idiot!!! She does still fly, but just more ugly :(.... Then I tried to work with a guy in California to bring in some stock from XPR in China, to see if we could build a market for the airlines, since Motion seems to be the only ones taking the RC airliner business seriously, and we don't work with them. I was acting as the investor, and the guy totally ripped me off. He currently owes me and my family thousands of dollars He won't return my calls, texts, emails. He WAS an affiliate for like 10 seconds, but we dropped him like the turd he is.

"Easiest plane I've ever flown" - this is commentary of those who have flown "harder to fly planes" - as with anything else in life, difficulty is always a sliding scale changed with past experience, skill, effort, etc and less or nothing to do with the particular plane you're flying. Thanks for being here with us!

ALWAYS Its so EASY and it mostly bounces when a bit sloppy landing, im not a noob at life that just spouts off sh17 to look cool... I have more than enough knowledge to be able to come to the conclusion that telling people that maybe have not flown before can rest asured it not that bad if it was my first plane and i still fly it. but What the fk do i know........@@BrianPhillipsRC

What type of prop would you like to see? I assume LARGER? If it were too much larger, it would be causing all sorts of issues for people with prop strikes.
