In part two of Dynamic Ropes we will look at some reference images to get a feel for the different types of patterns you can find on climbing ropes. Then we will learn how to create a seamless and tileable pattern inside of Adobe Illustrator that we can use in 3D.

3:14 "This side and this side" - Can't see cursor ^^ Do you know if there are open source plugins for 3ds Max too?

crosscreations_de hey, sorry that it is not clear for you. I am pointing to the middle of the grid, but in general you can see there are two different angled rectangles, going from too to bottom. That’s the two sides I am counting.

No worries. Also I am not too familiar with 3DS MAX, but I did some google searches and could not find any spline dynamic plugins. Good luck!
