So impressive! You are my Dutch teacher I've determined. You present your lessons in a typical Dutch way, which itself can be part of the lesson. :) The subtitle in both English and Dutch helps a ton - I've heard from my friends who had Dutch language teachers doing the same thing -- they start to speak more and more in Dutch in teaching Dutch from an early stage, and my friends couldn't keep up or understand most of the lesson. But here with the English subtitle, the problem is solved. I'm going to watch all your videos! Dank u wel!

Hield is simple past of inifinitif "houden". Ik hou vandaag. Ik hield gisteren...(we have almost as many irregular verbs as in French)

Ik ben begonnen met boeken in nederlands voor kinderen te lezen en daarna heb ik een e reader gekocht om nederlands boeken te kopen of lenen en je kan ook gewoon in een click woorden dat je niet kent vertalen. Als je bepaalde Kobo e readers koopt kan je ook boeken lenen van de bibliotheek. Soms moet je het eerste downloaden op Adobe digital editions op je computer en plaatsen op je e reader maar het is makkelijk om te doen.

I understand just about everything in the video. I am currently learning German which I've learned sice I was at school and I think if you have some knowlege in German it makes it easier to learn Dutch.

I leant a little Afrikaans in school as a subject so just wanted to learn the ancestral language where Afrikaans gets it's roots and most of its words from

I like the idea with Dutch subtitles even if your pronunciation is very good and clear for students. The way you create the lessons is original (want daar gaat het tenslotte om) In this way I find you more interesting than Doutzen Kroes 😉

And yes... it's something I cannot change unfortunately, because the burned-in captions in my video cannot be moved higher or lower, nor can the ones in KZread itself en they sometimes overlap. But I don't want to add Dutch and English both in my videos, because a lot of people want to practice learning Dutch without seeing the English subtitles all the time :) Have a nice day and good luck!
