I Am glad easy Dutch came back..I was bummed on the fact that not so long ago there was like only 10 videos on the channel, and now theres more than 100! Thank you for giving attention to this language again, it may be not spoken throughout the world as much as others but the ones that happen to know it, love it dearly. Keep on going! Never stop! Cheers from the USA🎉
People say German is hard, maybe in grammar, but in matter of pronunciation, Dutch is less clear and more complicated.

but with some things it's the opposite. Just look at english "weather" with that thorn in the middle. And german "wetter" with that hard t in the middle. Meanwhile in dutch: "weer"

No way 🙅♂️ Dutch is way easier than German. Even if you slightly mispronounce the words you will still be understood but German syntax, cases, conjugations are all so much more complicated. It’s not at all comparable
Dutch is such a cool language. Greetings from the UK.
This channel is always educational. Please do more of those videos where you ask if the dutch understand afrikaans 🙏. Love from South Africa (Zuid-Afrika)🇿🇦

super leuke aflevering, bedankt!:)
Delighted to listen to Dutch again! I used to live near Bocholt, Germany. This is a border town in Germany with Aalten and Winterswijk, Holland about 4 km away. One may either travel by bus from the Bocholt Bus Terminal into Holland or take any of the marked bicycle trail through the forest lanes to cross the border area. As with many border towns on either side of a international border the locals seem to prefer the local dialects spoken or are bilingual. For me knowing the German Language, it was easy for me to get around these two communities. I am hearing quite a few similarities with the way Dutch and German are spoken and also noticing quite a few differences. Also Radio Netherlands International out of Delft, still does SW and internet streaming for hearing programs broadcasted in either Dutch or English, as well as being able to read the Dutch Language. I was curious today to see if this YT site existed, because I came across an American living and working in Holland for 2 years, that says on his YT Channel he still is trying to learn Dutch. See YT kzread.info/dash/bejne/gWt5s9BtlMvIkbw.html and maybe you can help him. Meanwhile I spend most of my time with the Easy German Team in Berlin. Although, I may now spend some time on this Easy Dutch Language channel learning something new.

That is the kind of corner where people on both sides of the border have a high chance of speaking bost languages. At least a little. And obviously also english.
Geweldig filmpje! Hartelijk dank.

And if you are not quite sure whether to use 'de' or 'het' use the diminutive such as 'het stationetje', het boekje', 'het jongetje' enz.
In Indonesia we say 'dah' for bye, 'kontan' for cash, halte, lekker , meneer, wc for toilet, plesir/plezier for vacation 😅
dank u wel. zouden jullie meer video's van die soort kunnen maken?

Great as usual - thank you. I think I am going to become a $ member. Two things confuse me though - is ‘’goedemorgen’’ pronounced with the ‘d’ in the middle, or not? Or is it a regional variation? Secondly, pronouncing the “no at the end of words like ‘lopen’. My parents are Dutch and I don’t think they pronounce the final ‘n’.
@EasyDutch
10 ай бұрын
Yes, most people do not pronounce the -n at the end of the words in modern Dutch! And "goedemorgen" with a "d" is seen as more formal, whereas "goedemorgen" with "j" is seen as more colloquial! Hope this helps! 😊
Let me give this a try. Ik ben Amerikaans an woon in Duitsland. Wij reizen deze zomer naag Nederland. Ik wil gaag beetje Nederlands leren. Mijn aachternaam is Nederlands. I speak German as a second language so learning Dutch isn't too bad. The grammar is much easier. I have been learning Swedish off and on half-ass for 30 years. When I tried to think in Dutch, Swedish sometimes kicks in.

Ik vind het video veel mooier. Bedankt
Leuke leerzame video, Alles helder is misschien niet helemaal zoals men dat zegt in het Nederlands. Meestal zegt men dan alles duidelijk of begrijp je het? De Nederlandse taal is al moeilijk genoeg 😅 om dan woorden te gebruiken die een dubbele betekenis hebben, maakt het nog moeilijker. Beter kun je zeggen wat een heldere lucht of helder weer. Ach ja misschien wordt ik oud hahaha. Verder top " goed" gedaan heren👌🏼
Hé, moooooge! Brabant❤️

If anyone could explain to me please, how should the letter "r" be pronounced? I can only tell it sounds different by the position of the letter in the word, but can't hear a clear pattern. Thx
@EasyDutch

In Dutch, there are different ways to pronounce the r, depending on the region and dialect.
When I use Google Translator is states, "Hoe is het met je?" Is that correct what Google has?

2:19 - 2:31 Zou dat niet *Nederland* en *Duitsland* in plaats van *Nederlands* en *Duitslands* zijn? Jullie hebben het tenslotte niet over de talen daar, maar wel over de landen. 😉
Learning and teaching are the same word in Dutch - trips them up when they speak Englisj
I love Dutch! I love the NL. I just wish the kind Dutch people would stop speaking to me in English and let me make a fool of myself speaking Dutch so I can improve. In 12 years of visiting almost yearly I know about 5 words😢
I am confused by the word het. Sometimes Duolingo uses as the, but I realize the word functioned more as it, but my daughter's friend Dutch who speaks Dutch says het it is. Some site said het is a gendered word for them and here your video says it are. But a website says it's a pleural, the. Another website gives me a different meaning.
@EasyDutch

"het" is the neutral article, corresponding to the English "the" and the German "das". E.g.: het kind (the child), het huis (the house), het bed (the bed). "het" kan also be the third person singular pronoun corresponding to the English "it" and the German "es". E.g.: het is koud (it's cold), het is zondag (it's Sunday), het is twee uur (it's two o'clock). I hope this clarifies it a bit! 😉

You all have ‘the right accent’. There are Dutch ‘teachers’ out there from Limburg or Noord Brabant with the most strange ‘r’ and ‘g’-s 😢 How dare they to call themselves teachers of Dutch😂

Guess which one is the Italian in the video, I can still hear his accent and the German's. Their Dutch is amazing though.🙂

Video is nice, but the Letters are too small for me to read....

Lift in het Afrikaans "Hysbak".
His pronunciation of "restaurant" (9:28) is weird. He says it like a French word (i.e. not pronouncing the "t" at the end) but with a Dutch "au" (rather than saying 'oh' as in French). Most Dutch people do not drop the "t" at the end: "Restohrant"
