Dutch dialects: Belgium vs. the Netherlands | general overview
In previous videos, I talked about the differences between (standardized( Belgian Dutch and Netherlandic Dutch as well as spoken Belgian Dutch/Flemish ("tussentaal"). With this video, I'm starting a new series on Dutch dialects. How is the situation when it comes to dialects in the Netherlands and how does it compare to Belgium?

I need a Flemish teacher! Could you share some Flemish content (news, soaps, etc) that we can try to immerse ourselves in? I am using Babbel to self learn, and using your videos to complement them. Your channel is awesome!!

That depends on your level but have you already seen this video? kzread.info/dash/bejne/a41os8l7nL3SorQ.html
Could you do a video on Surinamese Dutch? I’m really curious as to what makes the dialect sound different from the European ones. (Oh and maybe some of the extinct American dialects)

Dank u wel, Nout. I had to switch browser because of a glitch that was happening after 07:00 but using the Explorer instead of Brave solved the problem. It's always such a pleasure to watch your videos and I learn a lot with them. Although I'm at the very beginning at Dutch, the basic German I once studied helps me a lot with the sentence structure and some cognates.
Your channel is literally the best Dutch learning channel on KZread. Keep up your awesome work! ❤️ Outra coisa, você já pensou em fazer um curso de holandês e colocar em uma plataforma de cursos, como a Udemy ou similares? Seria incrível!
Nout, I heard...long time ago...The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg formed one country. What language did these countries use as a formal language or lingua franca?
Natuurlijk is er ook nog het Afrikaans en het Fries (geen dialect, maar een taal). Overigens het dialect dat het verst staat van het standaard Nederlands? Het Gronings (één van de varianten van de erkende streektaal Nedersaksisch).
Sentence structure in every single dialect is the same,if not,it would not be a “dialect”

Dialects vs languages are defined by level of mutual intelligibility

Not true. A dialect can definitely have varying grammar, especially in areas where more than one language is spoken.
Only limburgish and possibly West Flemish is different enough to be considered a different language, zeelandic,Brabant and Hollandic are 85%-98% mutually intelligible im written form (respectively the percentages)
Leuk, maar waarom dat Amerikaanse accent?

Misschien omdat een Amerikaans accent leuker dan een Nederlands accent is 😊 … als je meer Amerikaans klanten wilt
