Camilla Parker Bowles, 74, who spent lockdown in Highgrove, Gloucestershire, with her husband, Prince Charles, 72, experienced a common gardening issue while attending her countryside vegetable patch. In a guest appearance on the BBC Two's Gardeners' World, the royal told presenter Monty Don how mice and voles had devoured her strawberries and ate the asparagus roots she planted. The duchess, who toured Don's garden Longmeadow in Herefordshire, spoke of how gardening became a 'spiritual experience' for many during the pandemic and said she has started to develop her own woodland garden.

Is so agree, gardening is the best medicine for stress. I was gardening when gardening wasn’t cool.😉😂🌺
Yes, gardening certainly got me though Covid!
I’d be absolutely gutted if my asparagus got eaten by rodents! I’ve put in two years of work, now on my first ever asparagus plant and it would seriously break me!
My top favourite episode with Queen Camilla.
I truly love Camilla I think she is fabulous!!! When I saw her carrying toys to children last Christmas really won my heart!
May have been related to her...
