The 930 turbo targa is fire!!! I miss the sport seats from it so i would change them.

I agree fully that impracticalities in use and foibles in performance performance add to, rather than detract from the ownership experience once a vehicle graduates to the 'fun' or 'toy' status. No introduction needed, 930 is an exceptional turbo pre bastardisation of turbocharged engines, today every car is turbocharged with no soul! Thanks for sharing

My pleasure. For me, 930 is peak Porsche 911 Turbo. Such character to the cars.

Friend's dad had one of these. I believe when he traded it for a new 996 Turbo in 2000 they gave him 18k for it.

Never realised just how rare.

If you want a 930 to own and drive, imo the ones to have are the model years 78/79. 9:30

I’m curious to know why they produced less targa’s in the 1989 model year especially when it had the 5 speed gear box🤔

Strange remark. I suspect more 930 owners are more capable drivers than the Ferrari owners for instance. Anyone who freely chooses to drive an antiquated air cooled turbo have some mental challenges and sado-masochistic tendencies that tells me they’re committed to the cause and probably are true petrol heads and most likely very capable drivers.
