I still get recruiters from the Navy calling and texting me. Been through army BCT, AIT, and a part of my first unit for the past year with 5 more on contract. Like, they really do keep trying to snipe you over to their branch xD

I gave a drill a black eye once, I was on KP and moving pretty fast in the chow hall carrying 2 racks of silverware, and this drill was walking the other way, neither of us was looking where we were going , and my head contacted his face. I just went to parade rest/at ease best I could while he held his face for about 20 seconds , it was tense because he was one of "meaner" ones. I asked "Are you OK Drill Sergeant?" He finally said, "Just get the "F***" away from me Private!!" And off I went . :) . He had a shiner for a few days.
