What you do to random people of the subway is a blessing. You make people smile using your gift. Keep up the great work. You're making a positive difference.

As an artist, I find it really difficult to believe he can produce such beautifully detailed drawings in such a short time! Unless those people sit still for an hour or two on the train, that's not doable.

Did you take figure drawing classes? You learn to do 2 minute drawings. But, you’re right. His pencil doesn’t seem to move that fast for speed drawings and he got contrast and details.

@@mhansl I can draw you in twenty minutes, probably less, if it means loose lines and minimal details. Using charcoal makes it a lot faster. But this guy uses graphite, possibly the slowest medium there is. The level of details makes me question the video.

Fun fact: The train is in slo mo so that he can make the drawings before they get to their point

Yeah, it's definitely scripted. We get the first shot of them in a specific position, and then the drawing starts, and then somehow, 30+ minutes later they've stayed willingly in the exact same position. Anyone who's modelled knows that humans subconsciously fidget a lot, and holding exact positions for that long is oftentimes painful- definitely not something multiple people randomly do when they supposedly don't know they're being drawn.

I’m amazed he has time to complete a drawing. Most train rides don’t last too long. Regardless, he is an excellent artist! I especially love the reactions by his subjects!
