That said their are many portrait artists that would only need minutes for a painting such as this. I always start a face the same way, with a "circle" capturing the shape of the face, I believe everyone does. So...I don't play baseball but you just struck out!

As an artist myself, this seems extremely fake. 1. the train would vibrate and none of his strokes would be so steady, 2. He painted her wayyy too fast, this should have taken some time, the paints need to dry if you want to add more on top 3. Even when you paint a model it's hard to keep them completely still, yet this random chick on a train remains still for as long as it takes for him to finish 4. Fake reaction (+clickbait title) 5. The lighting slightly changes when he starts painting 6. The circle he does in the beginning is wrong on so many levels 7. This girl is in another video as well

As someone who is a professional artist who has also sketched and painted in that train I can tell you all of these videos are fake in that they are not painted on the train. When the train is moving it literally vibrates and shakes your hand a bit... and none of your lines or strokes are perfectly smooth. he probably knows all of these people or has talked to them into participating where he then takes a picture and paints it somewhere else and then comps the video together later. You can also tell if you’re an artist what it looks like when someone is drawing from life vs a photo and this stuff is definitely from a photo. 🤷‍♂️ if you wanna prove me wrong (doubt that you care) get someone else to film you and the person in one consistent shot. Also the reactions are suspect... usually at least half of people are annoyed or pissed if you’re drawing or painting them.

That man's talent is so beyond great it boggles my imagination. True talent is not bought at any price but given to be appreciated by the world. One of my favorite sayings is "a work of art is never finished but abandoned!" I feel this says a person's imagination IS without limits.

Has he ever shown a compilation of all the unfinished pieces he's done? Because as someone who has rides the train daily and draws, I find it extremely difficult to conceive how he can do it so consistently.

I want to believe its real, I'm not especially good at art but am above a terrible standard and could never imagine finishing something to that level in a matter of 10 minutes or whatever. Id like to see it filmed from afar with the paper visible to show its not a set up. And if its fake its kind of rubbish because it makes people think its possible.

@so the thing with eyebrows on (most people) is that it’s thin so different lighting angles could alter the colour heavily
