He was confused and flustered because before the pitch, Evan Davis had chased him around the ground floor and kept shouting out random numbers before getting hold of him and spinning him around twenty odd times and then told him "you've got this" and led him to the stairs to do his pitch.

I know they like to cite that 2-3 hour figure in their marketing a lot, but that’s actually 2-3 hours to _film_ the entire pitch, not 2-3 hours of scrutinizing questions like some kind of enhanced CIA interrogation. The amount of time it takes, if you strip back all the shot set-ups, makeup touch-ups, and b-roll etc, it’s like a 30-40 minutes tops for the actual back-and-forth discussion… and that’s for a good, constructive pitch. I’d bet this guy was actually only under pressure from the dragons for like 20 minutes (and still he blew it for every second).

That was painful to watch and they never even got around to talking about his product.

No, both the Plain English Society and the Plain Language Commission have said that there is no rule in Britain with regards to possessive apostrophes in place names

The guy literally from the jump all but refused to say how much profit his core business was making. He was hiding info on purpose. If you didn't get that you probably shouldn't be investing in anything short of a McDonald's kiddie's meal every now and again

His core business and skill set doesn’t involve presenting to multi billionaires on TV in front of the whole country and world. His nerves and ability to present under extreme pressure would have no relevance on his ability to operate his business.

My favourite era of dragons den with the God squad : Pizza Jones, Theo "The Fetus" Paphitis, Debrah Meat Head and Duncan. James Naan was my favourite 5th dragon, man had class oozing out of his moustache strokingly beautiful face.

Was this edited badly? Nothing the dragons were saying seemed to fit what we were shown. Apart from being nervous during his initial presentation, he seemed to know his stuff (especially since he hadn't planned to pitch the main business). There was nothing misleading about his drawings - the dragons just needed to ask the right questions. Sometimes directors take a wage and sometimes they take a dividend (or, in this case, a loan repayment).

Yes but this wasn't about dividends vs wage, this was a director's loan. In reality the business was only profitable enough to pay 4.6k in wages, the 40k is his money that he's paying himself back. Really he should have just clarified that

I think before coming you must be able to speak confidently,get clear financial statements and financial positions of your business and how well your product is doing in the market so you can be able to answer these questions.

It always amazes me when they fail to answer some of the basic questions that are always posed. This guy failed the most basic question of all: how much money does the company actually makes in a year? That is, what is the net profit before and after he payed himself. Sorry, but I don't believe he misunderstood the question, or that he was accidentally misleading. He was either so unprepared that he never learned the figures (or basic business terminology?), or he was deliberately misleading. Either way, the dragons were right, it's an uninvestable proposition.
