Thank-you for sharing this conversation. I am always deeply moved by hearing Zach speak on what he is learning and the search he is on. There was SO MUCH in this conversation that is new or a least from a fresh perspective. But... What I learned new today is that, after two marriages and two breakups, I had concluded I am not very good at marriage, BUT after this conversation today, maybe its that marriage is not very good for ME. What I am seeing in our current time is traditional marriage, as it is used today, is a trap if you are seeking growth. I am not a thing that can be used, owned or claimed. I still believe that long-term, loving relationships with a level of commitment are very valuable and healthy. BUT in my newest relationship I am fully aware of my freedom to be me and I feel no need to train, change or alter the one I love. We know that the other can leave at any time and it brings the friendship, honesty and openness to a whole new level. Thanks. Jay and Zach.

Star gazing. As a child in the 80s growing up in Africa, very few houses had electricity. My grandfather had a fishpond which had been drained as he went out of business, and replaced a large portion of this pond with Arabic coffee. What was left of it became the neighbourhood playground. At sunset, a fire will be lit and everyone will gather around it, young and old alike. We will sit around the fire, roasting corn, insects and peanuts as we listen to stories from the elders. We were taught traditional dances and songs as we sat beneath the star-filled clear skies. This built a strong sense of community and fostered a sense of belonging. Today, houses have replaced the playground and coffee farm, and kids are glued to their phones. We have lost that true sense of community to a virtual one lacking in authenticity.

I was taking 11 meds and 5 were just to eat! I divorced and began a journey to health. After 10 years I am med free and healthy. I am active and dancing every weekend. I fell in love with a like minded man and he taught me plant based whole food ,non Gmo ,organic eating. We support each other emotionally and spend time in nature. I am a living witness to the healing energies of this earth.

That is wonderful! Going from that many meds to None. How much of an impact do u think that dancing has on your overall health? (Funny story - I was doing that, dancing to get fit, in January. I committed to 3x a day, turning on some music and dancing for 10 minutes. I was following thru! Then I backed up too far, lost my balance over the coffee table, and landed on the floor with a crash of pain. Broke the femur right up in the hip, had a pin and screw put in, and am still rehabbing.)

Plant based diets can be very healing and nurturing but with a few rare exceptions they're not sustainable. It's NOT unethical or immoral and DEFINITELY NOT unhealthy (totally the opposite) to consume ethically and humanely sources animals. Life requires life. Just ask animals in the wild. Of course we've "evolved" to a higher level of consciousness than they have so we can and should procure our required animal protein in a less inhumane and vicious manner. That's why with very rare exceptions, I don't consume factory farmed animals and always give thanks for the sacrifice of life that the animal I'm consuming has made. Maybe someday out biology will evolve out of the need to consume animals in order to achieve optimal health but I think we're more likely to merge with AI and who knows what kind of nutrition that will require or maybe we'll learn to exist on light, water and essential gases alone. Who knows? This is all just my opinion of course. If you can thrive or even get by relatively well on a plant based diet then more power to you. I just think that people on both sides of the debate should communicate and find common ground rather than tear each other down and that goes for people on all sides of ALL debates.

@elizabethcruz , agreed! Dr. Bush is amazing, and his view of the individual human AND humanity is, to use a word from your comment- eloquent. I found him around 2019/2020ish. At a time when lots of “black pills” were coming at a choking pace, he spoke to these things in a beautiful way. “Yes, this is what’s happening, this is where we are, and this is how we cAn look at what is happening in our world”… basically (not a quote, but kind of a rough bottom line) He is enjoyable to listen to, as his voice and rate is calming, as is his view. ⭐️Just a suggestion, however, if you’d like to hear more of his interviews… you may need to search off of YT, as some of the things he talks about is not necessarily YT friendly (which is ridiculous, but this is where we are😬🤐) Be well and blessed!

I loved this interview for the acknowledgement that the practice of western medicine does not make patients well -- but many of us knew that. Yet Dr. Zach Bush has gone much further in his quest to help people not just get well but live well. And when he mentioned dinner time in Ikaria, Greece where they often set a chair for a new person to share the meal I thought of the sad fact of so many people in the western world dining alone. I'm an excellent cook and I shop carefully for the healthiest food I can buy (organic, grass-fed, "Clean 15," etc.) But at 77 with no spouse or family when I cannot stand yet another meal alone I go to a local restaurant and have dinner at the bar so that if I can't engage in conversation at least I can be in close proximity to it (and luckily, sometimes I am included in the conversations of folks nearby -- pretty costly way to have company over a meal but absolutely worth it -- and sometimes a heck of a lot of fun!)

As I read your post you mentioned that you’re a good cook but would rather not dine alone…, a lot of people love the nourishment of a great meal, and a great conversation. Why not prepare a meal and send an invitation to your neighbors around you, especially the younger folks they could probably use some of your wisdom!

But where I currently live out west in senior housing around 4 years ago I had two women in for a meal and one insulted me so outrageously (which had never happened before in my 50 years in Manhattan) that I felt her bad energy in my apartment until thankfully, I moved to a higher floor when the building was renovated -- I never again had a dinner guest into my small apartment due her insanity and vicious manner. I could listen to this man talk for days and soak up all this valuable high vibrational information. When he speaks, I can feel my whole being respond in a knowing...yes, this is all true. Dr. Bush allows whatever needs to be said, and whatever vibration needs to come with that to flow through him without interference. This was the best interview I've watched with him. Thank you, Jay, for bringing him on. You also hold space for your guests so beautifully. The biggest realization I received from this message was when he said there is no specific blueprint to regenerative farming (when he was discussing the feminine archetype and youth) and that we simply need to listen to the land and allow it to tell us what we need to do rather than micro-manage it to make something happen. That hit me so hard and is what I needed to re-frame the approach with our new property. I have been overwhelmed with thoughts of how to start and have even joined Farmer's Footprint. Now I realize I just need to sit with the land and listen to what it shares. That's my comfort zone anyways - i was just caught up in mentalizing everything. I feel strongly that was exactly what I needed to receive from this. Thank you! What an exciting time to be alive! 🙌

Everyone jumping on 'plant based' bandwagon means more farming, soil disruption, pesticide use etc. Ruminant animals are amazing for our soil. Farmers need to swap fields with each other and keep ruminant animals on arable fields and turn lush green pasture fields into arable fields for a few harvests. Easier said than done I know, but that would solve a lot of problems.

Not to sound too nosy, but out of a sincere concern and curiosity, what is holding you back from moving? What is discouraging you? I guess I'm mostly asking because while reading your comment, something instantly came to mind. It was something that I once heard a movie director say - something along the lines of "..you always hear New Yorkers talk about moving out of New York - but rarely do they ever..." I forget who the director is.

That's a significant achievement, and you should be proud of yourself for making a positive change for your health. It's not uncommon for some individuals to experience weight gain or changes in eating habits after quitting smoking. Remember that adopting a healthy diet is crucial for your overall well-being. Unhealthy eating habits can indeed have negative consequences on your long-term health, just like smoking. It's essential to find a balanced approach to nutrition, including incorporating plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and staying hydrated. Don't be too hard on yourself, as forming new habits takes time. Gradually reintroduce healthy eating choices and find enjoyable ways to stay active to maintain a healthy lifestyle. You've already taken one significant step by quitting smoking, and with dedication, you can regain your connection to healthy eating and continue to improve your well-being. Keep up the positive momentum!

If I as a widowed 50 yo, not so healthy female with 2 teenagers can try to pull this off, I’m sure many of you could do so much better:). I’d encourage everyone here to look into permaculture and see what you can do with growing a food forest, the soil of our beautiful planet, and a network of like minded people right where you are:)! And I guess inviting not yet friends over for dinner🥰!

I gave up nursing as well, and not so much because of burn out but because I knew there was a better way to heal people, and so many ways to do it without hurting them in the process. I have volunteered my nursing before, when I could do it without violating my ethics, and when I could teach people how to mitigate the damage of the conventional treatments they would probably be choosing based on the testing services that we did. When the services changed and I could no longer feel like I was able to protect my clients I left. In the pandemic I was a pro bono public health educator, L O L, teaching people are pretty much everything that was being done and pushed on to others was wrong, and Teaching others about the solid research versus the garbage research used to justify the medical tyranny that we saw. Practical tips on prevention and on self-care if confronted with respiratory disease symptoms… end goal of getting better without having to go to a hospital. I tried to go out every day (Very pointedly without a face diaper) and find people who would listen, and of course there’s always the comment section of KZread. Like that.😂 It makes me happy to hear how others in my profession, and other doctors, talk about how to help people stay healthy, and to recover from “incurable“ diseases with common sense logical lifestyle and nutrition choices. The food, water and air are so screwed up now, that it is hard to find an intact Microbiome out there. Add non-native EMF and an indoor lifestyle, sunscreen and sunglasses, and we are so messed up. The people who make zillions of dollars by keeping us sick are no joke, they wield incredible power, and they are not going to back down willingly. As we reclaim our health, we need to be mindful that there is a huge enemy to slay. This really is about depopulation as a profit model. It is unimaginably evil, almost. If you listen long enough, the words of the most powerful people do betray them. And I don’t even think those powerful people are the ones wielding the most control.

Just wow! I have been totally blown away by this interview. I think it has to be the best interview I have heard, due to the profound message being delivered here! Thank you for sharing this amazing knowledge- and not trying to keep it confine Dr Zach to keep his answers brief, but really giving space for his streams of consciousness to flow. There was so much covered in this interview, I can’t wait to listen back and really absorb each area more fully. As a medical professional myself, I came to the same realisations about the medical system. That the focus was managing the symptoms of illness and dis-ease rather than finding the root cause. The heavy reliance of pharmaceuticals and following an educational pathway that is so limited and not looking at the patient as a whole. When I became ill myself with Fibromyalgia, this system couldn’t help me and thankfully I followed my inner guidance to research and explore what the root cause of that condition was for me. And I overcame it, despite doctors telling me to stop chasing miracle cures and accept how my life was now. And that i would deteriorate over time. I had over 10 years pain and symptom free until recently it flared up again when I developed endometriosis. Which I have been really challenged with. I am a really fit and healthy person and do a lot for my health and well-being. But realise watching this where the root of this may be. The fear that he spoke about- tht keeps our body in the fight/flight mode and therefore disconnects us from our true self. I resonate a lot with this. The endometriosis developed when I returned to work for the NHS through the pandemic. Working in critical surgery for a year, which was extremely stressful through that time. What he said about the empathy with fear makes total sense. Along with being disconnected from nature. Part of my healing from fibromyalgia I realise was from living in nature for a year in Guatemala. I am struggling to live in Central London now and know it’s this disconnection. Along with the food being sprayed with toxic chemicals. I really feel like that’s what’s affecting my recovery. I eat a mostly plant-based diet, which frustrates me as to why I’m being challenged with my health so badly. Now I wonder how much of this is loaded with these toxic chemicals! I’ve been having a strong calling to move out of the city and now this has really inspired me to do it sooner. I’ve created a community on FB for women with health issues and challenges who want to learn how to help their body heal. Who want to live a full live, without feeling held back by their health. We’re going to be discussing what Dr Zach covers in this interview and creating ways to implement these teachings into our lives. If this resonates- come and join us @Sisters Thrive ♥️

Yes, his take on marriage right at the end there struck me. I have very mixed feelings about it. He's definitely right about that in a lot of ways, challenging us to really consider what unconditional love means. Yet I'm such an old-school romantic and currently so in love with my girlfriend that part of his message is a little depressing. Possession and ownership are not healthy aspirations for relationships but it can be a fine line with devotion and commitment. I'm actually in an ethically non-monogamous situation and have been for the past 12+ years so I found this all particularly fascinating. He seemed to portend an evolution of relationship styles that would embrace some form of non-monogamy.

Most people in the community where I grew up as a child maintained gardens in their backyards; my grandparents ate dandelion greens and watercress, and Sundays were devoted to relaxation, sitting on a blanket on the Earth. A friend who is a Naturopath said dandelions follow people and she was appalled that they are sprayed. She said we have all that we need in Nature to heal. Dr. Zach is taking us back to what we already know how to do. Thank you for the reminders!

❤ Yes !! This is so very important for many. The Enteric Nervous System is EVERYTHING. I learned this the hard way... I've been studying this for a year now and it makes so much sense. God bless all the Doctors finally studying this, so many advancements in this area. It's not treating Symptoms, it's about and the root of the problem to be addressed. what is the cause. I learned this years ago and continue learning from this day forward. Great interview and information. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Even though I got tangled up in this via a emergency surgery and I hope and pray EVERYONE hears this. What Doctors learned many years ago, doesn't hold true today anymore. I believe that it should be standard for all Doctors and all health care " professionals" to continue education every 6 months. Thank God I have been studying and understand this all too well. Appreciate this so very much. Our brains in our skull is without question is directly connected to our ENS. Fascinating information. Thank you again. REAL FOOD IS GOOD MEDICINE. As someone with multiple autoimmune diseases, as well as adenomyosis and uterine fibroids, so much of this resonates with me. I've been on biologic injectable medication that caused more side effects than the symptoms of my diseases. I have always been a healthy eater overall but I did have many major life events that caused me great and prolonged stress, and there were periods of binge eating mixed in. But for nearly a year now, I've been much more at peace. My anxiety is gone. I am much more in the moment instead of living in the past and fearing the future. I don't eat gluten or dairy. I don't eat processed food. Only fresh produce and lean protein sources. Lots of water. No soda or sugary drinks. I am always on my feet and walking non stop, both at work and outside of work. Yet I'm still massively bloated and constipated and struggle to swallow food and have a lack of appetite. I know people who basically blame anyone with a disease for not curing it through healthy eating and a healthy mindset. I've been plugging away at improving my holistic health yet I've had mimimal improvements in my physical symptoms. Sometimes it feels like shaming when people talk about diseases being caused by our lifestyle choices

In the past I have tried to follow the advice of Dr Berg (who is very great by the way - love his knowledge) but eating tons of veggies a day does not work for me. I have autism × celiac × ehlers danlos. Plant fiber bloats me and makes me horribly constipated!! A can handle a little but I mainly live on a meat based diet. Get rid of the lean meat. Eat fatty meat like lamb hocks. I live on grass fed beef + lamb. Organic prunes seem to agree with me. Once in awhile I may eat some watermelon or a bit of other fruit. But I am mainly living on meat. And your body needs fat (saturated fat).. I have noticed the fat actually gives me energy (i have much more energy on days after I eat the beef cooked in the lamb fat). Also check out Elliot at EuNutrition on how many veggies are toxic. Plant toxins. Oxalates, lectins, nightshades. The more plants you eat the amount of pesticides you are exposed to too but its also the high oxalate load, etc.. Fat makes a great fuel source. I am 51, have lots of energy, on 0 meds ( but I do take corn free supplements to supply my high exercise needs - I have a corn allergy). The more carbs you eat the more B1 you need too. Add stress into that and well there is no B1 left for your gut. Maybe check out Dr Berry for info on how healthy fatty meat is. ❤ hope this helps.

Wow, such an incredibly unique, yet fundamental perspective. Of all the things that I heard here, nothing rings as true as bio-diversity. In the end, nothing is as priceless, or valuable, as you & I, and those with whom we are blessed. So much truth to be found here.

It is the first time I am hearing dr. Bush and I sucked every single word that came out of his mouth, I am touched to see that there are still people like him living on this earth, especially doctors. I promise that I am going to think everything he said about life, the next time I will be in a fight or flight mode. I am coming for the country where Hippocrates lived and teached and I can tell that I am proud that there are still doctors like Zach Bush. Thank you Jay for making possible the contact of us, people, with such a beautiful soul and let him know that besides Ikaria , there is pelion a mountain where the ancient doctor, half human and half horse lived, with the name Kentaurus Cheiron, who was supposed to cure all diseases with herbs that he collected from Pelion, a place which was, beside the medicine herb supplier of the ancient times, the holiday place of the 12 Gods living in Olympus, so it is an excellent place he might consider visiting in his next travel to Greece.!!

Zach Bush has done the work! He started as a doctor, but like many other holistic physicians, is dissatisfied by our medical model of responding to late-stage illness, when they should be focusing on prevention and where true health & healing comes from. He went on a quest for deeper knowledge over 9 additional years to find out all the "why's" of our biggest health problems! Totally enlightening podcast!! I relished his description of how the soul may have manifested in life - death - life situations. Wow! - Mind blown! I love how Dr Bush broke our health crises down to much simpler (but, of course, more widespread) issues. I am so glad he explained, and with such eloquence, the impact of past & current farming practices on today's most major health problems, especially cancer. Everyone needs to hear what he has learned!!! Farming methods must change! The use of chemicals must stop! - Now is not soon enough imo! I would love to hear more about water and how to properly hydrate. His description was fascinating! He has so much knowledge! I could listen to him all day. Thank you, Jay, for having Dr Zach Bush on and for asking the questions that I wanted to ask! Also, thank you for giving him the latitude to explain and describe the deeper intricacies of what our bodies are doing at the cellular level. So interesting! Excellent podcast!!

Zach bush is an inspiration.every time I listen to him he has grown as a human being, and I grow so everytime.i feel like where can he go from here, like he might turn into something completely above all of us.but at the same time I know that he has more than enough compassion to last a hundred lifetimes.i cry every time I listen to this and I have listened to this maybe five or six times already and I'm not finished..there is so much learning and growing to be had from him..I have had some troubles in my life recently especially, but because of Zach I have learned to love my life, and love everyone in it.what a joy it is just to exist and experience the wonders of our planet and the universe..thank you Zach bush and bless you from the bottom of my heart xxx

Thankyou for this interview with doctor Zach, I love in the end when he said about biodiversity. The greek people set a chair hoping some will show up and share a meal with them. My grandmother taught us this growing up. She always cooked extra food at every meal, she would tell us if a stranger or anyone comes by we will have enough food for them to join us.

I loved this podcast so much. So many good things said here. One that I deeply connected with was: "When you spend more time in silence than you do talking, you find you know so much. And it's not something up in your head, it's not an intelligence, it's a connection. The real truth within you will be remembered rather than discovered." 🎉❤🎉 Dr. Zach Bush
