    Dude, that project is awesome! I have to use a cane, and ride a power scooter more than I'd like to admit. This video has got me wanting to do a Star Wars inspired cane. Maybe from aluminum tubing?

    Dalek is pronounced Dah-Lek (Dah like morse code and Lek like Albanian currency), its phonetically similar to garlic.

    Looks like it is a ‘2005 New Series Dalek’. The paint scheme for that is Renault Chanelle 174 (think bronze) and gold for the hemis & slats. The base is black

    As to the correct pronunciation of 'Dalek', don't worry about it to much, Even in the show the pronunciation changes a little from character to character. Dah-lek, Dah-lik and Da-Lek are used, pretty much, interchangeably throughout the show, some fans (particularly Americans) have been criticized for 'over pronouncing' the E (Dah-lEk and Da-lEk) but even this has been used in the show by some (mostly American) characters. The only Dalek related thing that everyone agrees on is... Recon/Scout Daleks are the worst.

    That's much less likely an American thing than a non-Dr. Who-viewer thing, I'd say. The biggest Dr. Who fan I'm aware of is American. But they don't mention Daleks that often, so I don't remember how they say it, either. (Although I _am_ also American....)
