The good thing is though that this is movement politics. The electoral system is meaningless except as a tool to put pressure on legislators to serve the peoples' interests. Since we already know that neither of the two dominant parties EVER serve the peoples' interests, it is time to starve them of power and legitimacy by putting our votes elsewhere. The real change always comes from the grassroots. No matter how far West gets in this election, any and all disruption to the status quo is a win for the working class. However, if you didn't know, the MAJORITY of voters are Independents at 47%. Dems are only 24% and Republicans are only 22%. And 52% of registered Democrats polled last month said they are actively considering a third party for 2024. Add that to the 100M eligible voters that don't vote at all and the numbers are *most definitely* on our side. But for those who are freaking out over the old- and much-debunked "spoiler" trope, I just tell them then don't split the vote! Come West. After all, a vote for Jim Crow Joe Biden is a vote for Trump. Enough of empowering the white moderate already! I can listen to this brother talk all day long.

An hour interview isn’t long enough. The issue that plagues our people need to be addressed in it’s entirety. Thanks God for men of honor such as Dr. West. However, I did not hear any solutions about how he would combat these problems? I like his talk but hes more talk than substance. Take for example this interview. What are his political stances. For that matter where the hell is Charlie at asking him political and questions of state?

Great speaker and educator. He has a message for everyone, especially the black community.

I love this guy! I'm an 83 year old white working woman and I'm voting for this great man! Because I'm Christian? Nope! But I'm moral! Because I like being different from other white folks? Nope! I'm exactly like all of them. Because I'm disillusioned? No sir! I never had any illusions about what my life would be as as a working class women. I'm voting for Cornel West because he wants what I want and he won't leave me behind. If black folks get their due, so will I. Now that is a terrifying idea to the Democratic Party leadership and I think they need and deserve to be terrified. I want to vote for Cornel West out of self preservation!

I will definitely vote for Dr. West and if anyone who looks at him as a threat is an negative emotional fear of truth. And truth is the actual threat being unable to face what is a threat , which means that they cannot accept admit acknowledge speak confess speak confront nor ever face the truth face to face, The Greatest Power is Truth and Justice in Action.

This is one of the best interviews that I've seen with Mr. West because they didn't interrupt him as a lot of other shows do.

Listened in this morning and my takeaway: Dr. West has a point when he says, that he has nothing but truth and hope to offer (not even money and is even broke, as he says), and if that has already made him a “threat”, then I say: let America see the first Faith-based President (and matured in his faith)…ultimately something America never has seen before.

Even though he may not have a great chance of winning, I think this could still be a great thing for African Americans by creating some sort of voting block and let the 2 main parties know that we have issues that need to be addressed. If he gets enough votes in the primaries hopefully that can open some eyes up to get the conversation started. Now it seem like they just lie to get the seat and after that there’s no push for anything that they promised. And that’s both sides.
