I'm not the biggest fan of Roland, but I agree with his stance and views on black media, and that is exactly why I haven't gone back to corporate America and am building out my businesses and different brands. So while I don't always see eye to eye with him, I applaud him for his efforts and commitment to the black community.

@robertp.3351 I’ll say this. I do think CTG tries not to be bias in his approach because I think he treated the trump administration just the same which is how you should be in your reporting. However, he does tend to use blanket statements like “Biden ain’t done nothing for black people” which can be very harmful in messaging. Especially when it’s just not true.

Great interview! This Breakfast Club platform reaches millions of people daily. They definitely should create a daily 10min segment of "Roland Speaks!" Where he drops gems of info pertaining to race, religion, politics, money, black culture, and black history. Or call the segment, "Soul Food" where various black intellectuals can contribute pertaining to the aforementioned gems of info. The part where Roland mentioned civics lit my fire. I've been preaching this same sentiment for years. In addition to economics being a required course in high school to graduate, a civics course should also be a requirement. As well as a course on money management and investments.

I would love to help with that! This was a great demonstration of how to create strategic, systematic, and systemic change. These types of conversations need to be coupled with mental health, finances, and consistent collective action. Profit drives movement in systems and structures; unless enough noise is being made by certain groups, the systems and structures keep going forward. @@rolandsmartin 🙏🏾 WOW Roland I am a huge fan and listen to your Unfiltered show almost daily. I am a paramedic. I followed your coverage on Tyre Nichols and the man I believe in Texas tasered in an ambulance. I bring your conversation to my managers and chiefs about the lack of communication and coordination on these medical calls and what has been gross negligence on those involved in these cases. We have a DEI Committee and I am a VERY active member. I am also the Diversity Rep for my union. Your conversations inspire me and give me courage to have the important conversations with members at all levels especially the senior staff and demand opportunities for equity in my service through my DEI Committee projects in what is a predominantly white managed service. Im praying for you to have good health and prosperity in the years to come. What you are doing is changing things Im on my 4th listen of White Fear on audible because it gets my mind focused!
