Fantastic, Faizal. Had come across the setting in my first Fujifilm camera purchase (used X-E3, Ebay + 35mm prime lens, separate) last year. Now I feel that "extra" menu has a really cool, creative element to play with.

Another great video with good information and suggestions. My XT30 has a multiple exposure setting but it actually superimposes the first shot in the viewfinder so I could easily line them up. I was surprised my camera had that functionality because it not in the high end of Fujifilm pricing. I liked the results and appreciate the information on opening up the creative process of photography.

It doesn’t apply to street photography all the time but I find the ones with people coming and going or moving from a far point and then closer were interesting. As for the architecture shots I think it applies well. A great exercise when we just don’t know what to shoot anymore. I have this function on my Fuji X-T2 and will use it the next time I go shooting, just for the fun of it. Thanks for the video.

One thing I learned shooting street is that you can make everything work - with a lot of practice that is. I have shot focal lengths that people told me wouldn‘t work for street (like ultra wide or telephoto). And on the first days you just get home desperate because it really is hard. But if you stick to it you can make everything work and expand your creative potential during the process. I‘m sure if you shoot exclusively double exposures for a month you will end up with pretty amazing results. What a challenge haha.

I just got the x100v a few weeks ago. I’m blown away. A decade a go I was shooting film and wanted a digital that could do film simulations, multiple exposures, video and panoramas. I was kinda bummed with my Canon dslr because it couldn’t do some of these things in camera. But the boom! A decade passes and I get the X100v. Basically a camera made for me.

Very interesting experiment Kudos! I've tried this a lot in camera and in post too, I found it works great for contrast in subject matter when you're shooting portraits. And in the streets it works best with architecture (something with less detail). And it also looks great when one of the images is zoomed with the exact same scene too!

I just watched your motion blur and double exposure videos back to back. I don't know why, but the motion blur photos look like first curtain flash exposures sometimes and too "thin" in other examples - I wonder if this is due to the digital sensor or if the exposure triangle was just different (I don't mean this as any kind of criticism, just wondering). The three men double exposure is really great - has a Reservoir Dogs vibe :D Also the one person, shot twice works great - especially the guy crossing the street. But what i can really imagine the technique for, is shooting an abstract "background" exposure and then placing a person in the background with the second shot. It gives some of the mystery you often find in master pieces (not saying its a short cut). I love it and will try it myself. Thanks for the inspiration!

Really Bizarre. The other day I was playing with an image of a blue window with raindrops and I thought how cool that would be as a double exposure image. So I ended up using photoshop to make it happen. Which reminded me of the first time I used the multiple exposure function on my camera. It was very hard that day I tried it out in the field. Like you say you do have to have the intention and personally, proper planning of where you are going to shoot. As your video dropped I was planning just that! lol. I think it may have to be a photoshop job on the ipad, which I totally don't mind.

Seems to me, not that I have tried it... But perhaps double (multiple) exposure works best when using a tripod and you capture the same scene but with a subject that is moving from 1 location to another within the same frame. There were some shots there that you did that sort of mimic'd that.

You're doing it all wrong, first try using a decent camera and not a fujifilm. The second exposure usually needs to be a stop darker or visa versa and to get the the best double exposures or triple exposures use a 35mm or 120mm film camera
