I couldn’t watch Pedro anymore. I couldn’t take one more of his vids talking about hit his viewers complain and have bad attitudes towards DD and then 2 episodes later he’s worse than any viewer. He also never took into consideration that not everyone lives in a market like his (and I suspect much of that wasn’t true), he he never had vids/info for those in lesser-earning markets except stupid comments like “you gotta change with the apps” or some “philosophy” be came up with. For years he’s gone on about how people shouldn’t depend on the apps and only used them as a bridge to something else, but there he was daily doing the same old thing and making money off of us viewers. The same repeated topics, ie, “is it time to move on?” Yet if we moved on he’d lose the income. 90% of the time he’d start a video with “I’m not going to make this about my opinion - I’m leaving my opinion out” but then dominate the entire thing with his opinion OR his opinion of someone’s opinion. Personally I can’t think of anything more boring or stupid or pointless (for me) than to watch someone else do the exact same thing I’m doing. What is the point of that?

I dont think pedro is some secret agent of gig apps nor does he mean harm to anyone but for people to make smart and wise decisions, he always said have an exit plan and etc.... Pedro really meant for us to wisen up and make better decisions!! I know pedro hasnt made the the most wise decisions when he exposed the gig app machine for using the glitch and cherry pickin! Pedro is human and does make mistakes and admits it in many podcasts and interviews!!! He really put out his energy to teach drivers of the smarts he knew!! Though I can say for myself I was more interested in the driver content that made bank!!! I learned later that many content creators were frauds and that played off of clicks and fear what so ever and only in the end to lead sheep to there next vid and clicks n comments etc... If a restaurant tells you not to film, don't film. Also, don't share customer information. A business is private property, and they are allowed to say no filming. He was asked multiple times to not film and if he refuses to not to to not take orders from there. People may have cell phones, but we shouldn't normalize videoing everyone all the time. It's actually very creepy that people are just wandering about town livestreaming (or videoing) constantly and not caring what they are putting online of others.

I think pedro is really a good guy but gets suckered by higher powers , especially when pedro let the public relations of doordash reach out to him and ask his audience questions...Well maybe pedro did lie in the past or does lie but I really dont know due to the things I heard from this youtuber and that youtuber etc... Either way Pedro did give some honest to heart talks and his opinion on things which showed he was a human , the fact he challanged things in many manners showed he he was a honest man!!!! Yeah, especially when I heard he had already been banned from Chick-fil-A for complaining about the wait time. He’s such a nice guy for the most part it’s really a shame but thankfully for him he was doing more than just DoorDash so he’s just doing that much more spark and Uber now. He’ll be OK.

@@susancunningham60 I am not a dasher but I enjoy watching the content. But some of the things he brought up Starbucks should address. Like why is an order sitting there ready but not packed up to be picked up. Why should the dashers have to wait in a long line at the cashiers station when the order should be down in the pick up station of the counter. Not good customers service. Definitely not efficient. All companies should frequently check their selves to see how they could improve for their customers and their employees.

Great video! I had no idea these things were happening. Hope you guys are well! ☕️ OMG!! I HATE customers like that (the IC at the end of the video). from what I've seen the people that are getting deactivated have done things to cause their deactivation like revealing personal information or disparaging customers on their channels or just violating policies over and over again until it finally catches up with them. 1 Dasher wasn't really rude to customers or anything like tha, though he did violate people's privacy by insisting on filming them and that was one of the reasons why he got feactivated but I think it was mainly because he just kept declining orders over and over again and could never keep his acceptance rate high enough to justify his continued use of the platform. and yeah confronting two women in their workplace because they asked him to stop filming them and their customers will pretty much get to you deactivated off of any platform I think. I don't know about the laws in Georgia but there are some states where you absolutely cannot film people without their consent even if it is in public much less film them for the purposes of disseminating those videos on social media in a KZread channel.

Pedro was once my biggest idol of gig work, I really liked him and his motivational talks, I became disgusted when the public relations of DD reached out to him to ask his audience quesitons, shortly after I had to unsubcribe from pedro's channel, because why on earth would I want to fuel the algorithm that public relations really works for.... Did they not pay the contractors millions that developed it and why would I want to be a part of them evolving the algorithm to rip us off more and more!!!

Bad thing about Dashing Across America was he wouldn't stop filming, even when they asked him to. I watched a video of his today where he went to a day care center and was filming inside. If I were a parent, I would be livid if some strange guy walked into my child's day care and was filming my child. If the store doesn't want you to film, then don't! Use some common sense.

I’m on multiple apps. But ever since the new tier program came to my area I’m not getting good orders anymore. I used to be part of the LOP (large order program), but now I don’t see those orders. Theres so many new dashers in my area as well. So frustrating!!

If you look at the laws governing contracted workers, (and perhaps it varies by state), but it clearly says that instructing, manipulating, etc, any action that governs how a worker does the job, beyond giving the basic instructions and goal of the job, (incentivizing or anything that directly or indirectly affects a workers income) is illegal. Promoting or demoting driver’s ratings based on the jobs they those to accept or decline would fall under this. This kind of questionable/illegal/manipulative practices is why drivers report to the govt agencies like the FTC and causes the govt to step in. THEN the apps spend millions to fight the changes and trying to coerce customers and drivers into changing their minds and all this made up crap about how everyone will suffer if apps are forced to pay a decent livable wage. It’s the APPS that suffer if we’re paid better. Their entire argument is that the ability for drivers to work a flex schedule is far more valuable than making any profit while they continue to screw us over and gaslight us. In the end you cant work any schedule you want anyway. It’s a lie. You need to work the few shifts that are profitable and most drivers are locked out of those anyway unless you play by the gaslighting rules that try to make us believe you’ll make more money on higher tiers. It’s not true. You lose more by being forced to take the bad offers to stay in the tier. DD historically has never done anything to help their drivers be more successful. A google search will show hundreds of lawsuits they’ve lost for illegal practices and even embezzling drivers tips. Does this sound like a company that cares about the welfare or appreciates its workers??

(1) Pedro says he got deactivated for sharing a customer's surname. We don't know if that's true because no reason was given. If you watch the video he was encouraging people to call in and report non-tippers as a potential scam, which is clearly inappropriate. (2) If Door Dash doesn't want YT content creators teaching dashers how to make money they don't need to worry because most of what I've seen is the blind leading the blind

I see both sides of the story for Chuck. But i will say, Starbucks may be open to the public, but it is private property. If they do not allow filming, they can enforce that. I hate it, because Chuck is such a great guy. Always seems to make the best of things best he can. Filming is legal in a public setting (such as a public sidewalk). Filming in private property usually is illegal unless the establishment/property owner allows it. Please, as content creators, know that these public establishments are not public space free to film. Please brush up on your laws and rights. I would just hope that you two understand that as content creators. Be safe, be respectful, and be responsible. -Dank

So yeah I dont know all the technicalitys of that stuff to be 100% honest... Now when going into a police station, there are restricted areas and you will not be able to film in restricted areas. parking lots are the same way, they are public property. Groceries stores can ask you not to film because that is private property. Filming on the street/sidewalks is public. it just depends on if you are on public or private property.

The door to nowhere, creepy! But cute kitty makes up for it all. Shopping order was SO ANNOYING! I would've totally found the most expensive haha. I love you guys. People losing their jobs all over the place for things they put on social media, famous people getting cancelled, not surprised DD is now hitting the content creators where it hurts. Soon they'll want a cut of your YT profits!

💯 agree that @Dashing Across America seems like a sweet dude. However, naive to take that stance on filming people without permission. Legal or not, definitely not worth any argument with a restaurant. If you don't like a restaurant or their people, don't take it, If it costs Platinum so be it.

We have two restaurants here that always ask to confirm the order. I had a order that one of the restaurants had to remake because the first dasher stole the food after confirming it

I never piss anyone off, argue with employees at stores, Polite, all customers even if rude, don't record. I have been treated poorly by employees at a store but just smiled and apologized. It works for me been doing DD for 6 yrs and other apps 8 0 issues besides Spark deactivated me. I don't care by spark so not upset about it.

Chuck had it coming. He’s a nice dude but he let his ego drive. Starbucks is a private business and they told him multiple times not to film. Multiple. He publicized his feud with them. He doesn’t actually understand how being banned from a business works. And he has videos of him telling the manager no I won’t stop filming if you don’t stop inviting me in. They weren’t inviting him. He was getting DoorDash orders he didn’t have to accept and then ignoring their lawful requests not to film inside the business. That’s 100% on him.

I can only speak for dashing across America. He had it coming. He was asked three different times not to record in that particular Starbucks. Then the third time he was asked not to accept any more orders at that restaurant. When he was told to not take any more orders at that restaurant, he told the third manager, they were coming to the store and continue filming when he got an order at the Starbucks, even after being told not to film in that store. Which could be interpreted as a threat. Starbucks had a right to tell him not to record in their store being banned from Doordash was justifiable because he was in the wrong after that particular Starbucks gave two chances. This is why you will never see me record inside a restaurant, unless I am live streaming on part of my shift. Even then you only see my face.

@@mafgigecon I believe you are correct. He asked the manager to request for door dash not to send him that specific Starbucks location orders. Because when he declined them it lowered his acceptance rate. He was a platinum dasher and was constantly trying to keep the rolling 100 orders over thirty days. So I think this interaction was what ultimately caused him to get deactivated.

Either way, lets say I owned a coffee shop, Id have no problem with delivery drivers coming in and filming!!! 100% aslong as I trained my employees right!!!! Every day I dream of owning my own restaurants and various shops, if the public cant record what they saw, than am I really fit to be an owner or leader of my shops that I run....????? I mean if my employees pee'd and pooped into the cups of the products then should I get mad at a deliver driver that delivers my products to the '''customers'''????? Ask yourself that??? I think the issue with Pedro is that he shared the customer’s full name on youtube instead of censoring it. And in a follow up video, he shared his appeal which said he had been warned about doing that in the past.

As an employee of a company that relies heavily on social media, we have staff that not only create content and find content creators to work with us, they watch for any mention of our company to try to do damage control on anything negative. Im sure DD is watching all of you and deactivating to minimize risk . Pedro showed the woman's first and last name, i personally saw it in the video. There are enough crazy people in the world and people who can maybe track her down It could be DD's liability if this woman starts getting harrassed. With chuck, if you watch the video he was quite irate and ranted about the manager telling him not to film... stated it was his "constitution right" which is bullsh*t.. so i imagine he went off, at least somewhat angrily on that manager. Some of these people get a little too egotistical about their right to create content... and want the drama to get the views.

There was a video of a guy that ran a dealership and got ripped off 500 dollars by a scammer that bought the corvette, the dealership accidently posted the scammers phone number and hundreds of youtubers called the scammer.... But if the human race was telepathic, then what would scammers do, what would the starbucks do? In otherwords ur company is doing everything to thrive in there aspects, and one person blowing the whistle or there opinion could damage profits!!!! Dashing across america just pushed logic,,, but when it affects major corporate profits then you can see the shadow banning... Wait till u are over 50 and ur knees blowin out and not much left to do in life and when you blow the whistle on some restaurant with crappy service so you can make a 5 dollar order completed in 30 minutes! Just wait my friend because in time u will be there too!!!!

Companies can ask the world what they want, doesnt mean its the law though... People can legally by law record, but to expose names and faces needs a judge in the court of law, after all mainstream media gets away with exposing names and faces!!! Why cant us peon humans do it?????? All them big corps that film there own employees are allowed to record to make sure they can account for everything done in there business.. There was an uber driver that was harrassed by a drunk gay guy. That film got sent to the media and they played it on the news with faces exposed... I think everyone should be able to record in a restaurant and show it to the world!!! After all my eyes are not stapled shut by there employees when I walk in,,,, so why can I not share what I seen with my own eyes!!! One day we wont need cameras to share what we see!!! In our near future we will be telepathic!!!!

I was deactivated because my selfie error, I was also wearing a hat. And my hair was longer on drivers license - i cut my my hair then selfie didnt match, I was deactivated for 5 half months. I saw a youtube video of dasher got deactivated on same selfie issue. I appealed second time and got reactivated. They looked at selfie and saw it was me. Never give up appealing ive appealed 2 times. We be like... Getting deactivated for anything😅😊

There's a right way to do things and There's a wrong way to do things, you can't make lemonade without the right flavor. The point is you have to be smart like every breath you take, every move you make on how you perceive yourself when handling a situation regarding a customer or merchant to always have poof, details, evidence to always back up your claim for nothing to ever be used or said against you. I know DD is a shady company to work for but I tell people all the time, your word is your bound which holds more weight and power than anything in this world if you stand behind it for people to know you and know what you stand for to fight against anything even if it’s a misunderstanding or error you could easily correct with your words alone. always explore your horizons of opportunities and experience that can benefit you by never putting your eggs in one basket because that’s how you miss out, if you’re not the wiser by taking a chance on something and many possibilities”.

its not against the rules as far as i know. i bring my teenager a couple times a week bcs she gets bored at home on summer break sometimes. the restaurants in our small rural area all love me as a driver and they enjoy seeing my "helper" tag along sometimes. At drop offs the customers frequently give her a smile/wave and ask 'helping out mom today?' or something of the sort

Customer was pissed that Pedro didn't ask about a replacement for laundry detergent. Pedro called the customer the c word and doxed them lol. There are legitimate safety reasons why an employee would not want to be recorded, stalker, ex, abusive etc . Funny the company some people keep.

Some companies, even if public areas of their companies, can have their own policies about recording. If it is company policy that they do not allow recording inside of their business - than that needs to be respective. HOWEVER, as for if they don’t have that policy than it is legal to record customers, employees, minors, cars, plates and whatever else as long as it’s in a public area. Since there is no perceived privacy when you are in public.

pedro and chuck will be back on DD soon... Ive seen worse, a guy that only had 400 deliveries under his belt and got deactivated 4 times and is back on DD now!!!! I been dashing for 9 months fulltime and got only 1 contract violation because my app froze and my droid needed an update that took 15 minutes before I could confirm pick up of the food

I have never known it as a rule for DD. I know others can be with you now. I know that some pickup locations they won’t let you pickup an order if you have minors or animals in the care or if you’re recording. I know Walmart is known for not allowing these things.

I bet Starbucks was trying to protect customers from being shown on the videos. I am sure they get a lot of people having affairs meeting for coffee. I think I remember certain places not wanting people taping in their establishment for that reason.

You are correct actually.. if a store or person asks you not to record you need to not record. This is why we no longer go to Walmart when recording a shift because they had warned us once and we don’t want to risk any issues. It’s just not worth the potential ramifications.

Its easy, dont film where your being asked not to and dont share peoples private info when you know you shouldnt. They both did things they shouldnt of so its on them for not following the rules. Sorry not sorry🤷🏼‍♀️

I understand when they ask me to confirm. I don’t understand when THEY want to see my phone and confirm customer name, but then don’t have me confirm pickup in front of them. I have tried to explain it to people a few times that seeing the customer name does nothing really to stop theft. Since they could still cancel order or maybe just too a screen shot and had already canceled. I’m not sure if any have fully understood.

The theft is a major problem!!! If u dont want to show ur phone to them then u must be a part of the theft problem!! I have no problem what so ever showing them my phone and the confirm button!!!! INFACT i honestly think every restaurant should make every single driver confirm the pick up and record it on camera!!!! Its mostly the customers stealing food and some drivers aswell!!! If u cant confirm to the restaurant u are picking up and taking the food then u shouldnt be doing food delivery!!!!

I’m saying the dasher can still cancel the order after they pick it up, before they confirm it. That’s why restaurants should really watch dashers confirm it and. It just check the phone for the customers name.

Holy, u dont have much experience behind ur belt!!! The reason they want to see ur phone is because there is a big scam going on where a customer orders food and shows up before the driver to grab there own food they ordered!!! Some of the drivers scam too and steal the food and on there end they just weave there way through there menu that the order took to long and unassigned it and therefore it winds up back into the que for another driver to show up and arrive and only for the restaurant to say its been picked up by another driver!!!! Its an ongoing problem and it boggles me of how people like u show up on these channels....

Thats why they should switch all ordering to the McDonalds ordering system to where its nothing but letters and numbers and no customer names!!! So when customers that order the food cant show up and say hey Im here to pick up ''tonys'' order because the food bags dont have names and only numbers and letters which could only regard the theft to the drivers in most cases

Even better than 'confirming'..... they started rolling out QR codes you have to scan. I"ve mostly seen this at the Chinese spots, but it's starting to show up elsewhere too. Now if they'd just confirm drivers....

An Uber driver went viral for asking very politely for a tip bc he was getting married & the customer posted his message. It worked out well for him. I guess we all need to start doing that too. 🙏💵

Thats like that one girl asking the customer ''excuse me but can you spare a few extra few dollars so I can make it home, Im almost out of gas'' as she is still in process of delivering the customers food!!!! LOL, if I was a customer and already tipped and they asked for more? Id just not use the apps for food delivery as I do not use them anymore myself.

Chuck was just trying to fix starbucks for bad service, chuck didnt know the economics of starbucks and how slammed they are and there turn over! Its one thing to complain about bad service its another to work there and see what its like!!!! Starbucks does what it does because of how them franchise's are a grind themself!!! It’s private property. They can film you and ask you to leave if they want. They’re also not uploading the footage to a KZread channel talking about how bad of a delivery driver you are. If Chuck was just filming and not posting it I doubt they would have cared, but he was using their store for content and trashing it.
