As a customer I've only had one super shady experience. I ordered McDonalds, order was confirmed, and literally within 2 minutes the app said the driver was on the way with my order. I figured it was a glitch until there was knocking at my door 3 minutes from placing the order! The guy handed me a crinkled Mcdonalds bag and took off. Certainly wasn't my order and it was half eaten. When I complained to Doordash they wouldn't credit me the whole order because I got "something." I had to ask for a supervisor and be like "Unless your drivers have learned teleportation there's literally NO way my food was made, picked up, and delivered within 3 minutes from a McDonalds 4 miles away!" She had to triple check order acceptance time to delivery time before I got a full refund. Was the strangest thing ever.

I already paid off debt . I’m using side gig work to do fun things /vaca and also to pay those big extras that come along . It gives piece of mind.

I have binge watched and subscribed. As a customer of Instata Cart I had a shopper steal a whole Publix grocery order of over $300.00. Insta cart refunded my money minus the tip. Another driver showed up with wings from the same order. Insta cart thought that I was letting the person who stole my food keep the tip😂😂😂. No sir. My kid only cared that the wings showed up. However, he did cry the time when the dasher ate his fries, and left the crumbs in the box😮😂😂

I don't always think it is the drivers who are stealing it. In all of these places that leave the food siting out, like Starbucks, any random customer in Starbucks could just grab the order and walk away.

I dont know how a random "driver" could get penalized if theyre not using the dd driver app. Like anyone can walk in and get it if the company doesnt ask for verification. Ya know? But im glad you 2 got some type of compensation for it.

also, you dont have to drive to the pickup if you think its a stolen order, you can just call the store and ask if they have it, and if not, then call UE for the 3 bucks. save some gas 👍 edit: and yeah you have to call or you dont get the $3

I wear those blue tinted glasses all the time! The blue hue makes me happy and it’s not brighter than without them. I find that dark sunglasses gives me anxiety while driving I feel like I can’t see well with them 😅

Been enjoying your videos😀 regarding your goal to get out of debt, you may want to keep a pocket note book and write out all your expense in a month and then next month go through it and see which ones you could eliminate. You will be surprised at how much we send on things we don’t need. The writing down a good thing to do because it friction and makes you ask is this necessary purchase. Credit cards make it so less friction to purchase, with just tap it to pay.

Def mens and also yes men wear blue tint red etc look up blenders glasses my bf has them in so many colors great quality and last forever he wears them every day while working bc he has sensitive eyes

Next time reach out to Uber chat support within the app. Say the store is busy and has a long wait. I waited over 10 min at a pizza place and reached out and they offered $5 for my time.

Keep up the great work it took me a few years but gig work eventually helped me get out of debt 90 percent paid off.

Good video! Since I watched some KZread about stolen orders and I don’t steal a customer’s order. I make sure to verify the pick up of the orders on DoorDash, Grubhub and Uber Eats. If I cancel an order I make sure return the order to the restaurant or I cancel before getting the food.

I hate waiting but when I wait in between orders it's hard to cancel an order because I'm thinking there's a good possibility I'll be waiting 20 minutes for another one so I have the other apps on and if I don't get anything worth taking on those, there's no point in canceling. If it's really busy and I'm getting orders constantly then I cancel as soon as I go in and they say a few minutes but you're always thinking it's going to be the next one up so it's hard to know what to do.

It's a lot of fun watching you guys. Thanks for the channel. This is my first time commenting.There is no proof of any kind that the order was stolen by the driver. The only thing we know that the customer says he/she did not receive it. Why would anybody automatically think that it is the driver who has stolen it.The chances are 50/50. Common sense is telling me that there is no driver who would steal a $30 egg sandvich and hot chocolate order from Dunkin Donuts. Also the driver could have gotten into an accident ( which happened to me) and was unable to deliver due to an injury. I am a little sad and very surprised that anyone would assume that a driver is that stupid to steal a DD order. Drivers have way better taste than that. And they work way too hard for their money to risk it all with a DD egg sandwich and a hot chocolate.

Unfortunately this is a known issue that there are drivers who will take an order and then instead of confirming they pick it up they cancel the order. This is why all restaurants should make sure the drivers confirm picking up the order before letting them take it. Once an order is confirmed picked up, the driver can’t cancel it and if they did it wouldn’t then ask someone else to go pick up the order.

@TheLongIslandDashExperie I didn't know that the driver picked up the order then canceled it. Hower I am still doubting that a driver would steal the food especially this kind. Also it happened to me that after picking up an order the app crashed. Had no way of getting customers info. Support did not see the order in there system either and told me to throw it out. 20 minutes later my phone rings it's the customer wondering where her order was. She thought I have stolen her order. There are so many things that could go wrong when delivering. Assuming that a driver would steal an egg sandwich sounds more like a joke to me. Maybe because I don't like egg sandwhich.

It was definitely stolen because it kept getting sent out to other drivers. The original driver never confirmed they picked it up and instead canceled it as they took the food. Then it goes back out to another driver. If they got into an accident, Uber would have canceled it and refunded the customer. This was not the case here.

I had that happened to me, my order was thrown around to 5 drivers, I guess the last one did the right thing and cancelled, I call the restaurant after I place the order again, they told me the first driver stole the food and they were making my second order again, I did get a refund on my stolen food😣

I understand your points. However I also know that UE customer support rarely does the right thing. They are wonderfully nice people but it is extremely frustrating how they solve any issues. There had been countless missunderstanding by the support people when I called. During my accident when I got injured UE canceled the order on my behalf. I am sure the customer was never informed that the order was canceled due to an accident. Also, I am pretty sure the restaurant was also under the impression I have stolen the order. All I am saying is we should be careful when assuming someone has stolen something. Also when the app crashed the customer called the restaurant assuming the order was stolen. There could be countless technical issues, accidents that could cause an order to be delayed or canceled based on my personal experience. It's insulting to assume that the driver wants to eat your egg sandwhich.

I once had an order stolen. It just kept going through drivers. I finally got one to cancel it. All I got was a refund.

Uber looks for repeat orders that are stolen and they deactivate the drivers who have multiple violations if it. They wont tell u that but believe they know who is doing it habitually Uber driver ratings also indicate if a driver is an issue

It is crazy how confident you guys are that the Dunkin order was stolen 😮. There are so many variables and situations that can happen during any one order and then to go even further and try to tell the UE operator that it was stolen and put a drivers job in jepordy when you literally have no idea what the circumstances around this order were....smh. love your videos but maybe give the drivers a little more credit and the benefit of the doubt.😊

I turned down a $20 chick fil.A order going less than three miles the other day because I figured it was either tip baited or a stolen order. That was on uber eats. At least half of the time or more that it's a big money pay out.Somebody already took it or tip bait.

@@TheLongIslandDashExperience EBT has been known to do better. I don know your markets pay but I am in Connecticut and it dose 15 dollars an hour I would love to see a comparison between both in your market. both pay methods seem equal except the amount of miles driven?

Don’t do any worse than 1 to mile. 6 is bad if driving 12 miles.

If u put $100 per shift and do 2 shifts per week that is $10k in one year. Idk what your CC debt is but if you hustle it can be done this year. Pay nore than the minimum balance and cut expenses! Make the girls contribute also!!

How much would it have been to just purchase the order directly? Because you had $21.48 for 4.6 miles you know it was all base pay. Even if it was like $8 for buying the food, you then complete it and get the base pay even if it is $12-ish, still pretty good.

It don't necessarily have to be a dasher. Ppl learn if they just hold their phone like us dashers do the employees will think they are a dasher. Its that easy to walk in and pick up odrers. I had someone take my order while i was standing there. I could see my order number it was be prepared next thing i know it was gone. So was the food i was picking up. McDonald's remade it for me.

I never understood why only the high paying orders get stolen tho....like wouldn't you want that pay as the driver 😂

Love your video’s but your assumption that a driver stole the food is speculation. At many restaurants, the restaurants put the order on a shelf. ANYONE could come into the location and pick up an order. It could be a driver, but it could also be someone else in many cases. For example anyone could have grabbed that IHOP order sitting on the shelf. Why would a driver risk deactivation over a few dollars worth of food?

This is definitely a DD issue. I work in a restaurant and lately we are getting orders at the same time drivers are walking in the door. Frustrating on both ends.

I would like to know how come no one talks about the commercial auto Insurance required to do gig work? Is there a way around it. I enquired and was quoted over 4 hundred a month😢

It’s not required however there is a risk not taking it. You can add on rideshare insurance with some carriers though to your personal policy

i save up all year from gig work and then i travel to europe for 4-6 weeks. sometimes i can go twice (spring and fall), i learned my first year to stay away in the summer, most of EU doesnt believe in AC even inside restaurants/hotels its hot as a mf'r and everything costs 2-3X as much bcs its high tourist season. as for debt, i use a travel-points credit card and then just pay it off when i return while redeeming points as cash back to pay on the card so i can sometimes almost get my flights for free after its all said and done

I ordered a box of 4 cookies once and got only 3 and it was clear that the missing one had been in the box...... so the driver stole one cookie or is my box...... gross.

The best way to see progress on paying off the credit cards is to put all of the extra side gig money on the smallest balance. Pay the minimum on the other cards. Once the smallest card is paid off, put all of the money on the next smallest balance. It gives a huge sense of satisfaction & motivation to keep going when you can see that you have 1 less card to pay off. Best of luck in your journey to get out of debt!

I’m very curious what your credit card debt is. Obviously I don’t expect you to tell me but you contradict yourself a lot in this video so I can’t tell. You say it will take you a couple years to pay it off and Then a minute lawyer saying it’s not that bad. From the sounds of it you are basing this off of paying the minimum monthly payment? If so I’d recommend you don’t use credit cards as you aren’t credit card people. They should be used and the monthly statement should be paid off that same month. The interest on these card are predatory and they love people like you that continue to not pay it off and collect Interest. Please either beg you cut them up if you want real change a couple of years to pay off credit card debt is not “not that bad” that’s scary
