I Just started my dental care journey 2 years ago. I have 2 weeks left on invisilign. I am getting implants on just the front 4 bottom middle teeth in 6 months. I got those teeth extracted 2 years ago. As someone who never had the parents to take care of his dental work I'd like to say you're a great person for doing that for him. My dental journey changed my life and confidence and it's not even done yet! Can't wait

I feel you so much right now! I’m also a mom to a special needs child. My husband and I can’t both work at the same time because one of us has to be able to take care of him. I worked for most of his life while my husband was the primary caretaker because I was able to make more money and had a good job. After Covid my company restructured multiple times and I got laid off. Ever since then we have been riding the struggle bus. My husband is now working and I’m staying at home but he doesn’t make near what I did. So we are trying to pay off debt as well. I substitute when my 2 boys are in school but during the summer I am home all day with them. I have been dashing in the evenings and on the weekends and putting the money towards debt. It’s slow going to be sure but I have faith that something is going to happen for our family and we will be saved. I just have to keep believing that and pray 🙏. However I have my son on Medicaid and without that we would be screwed. I pray for you and your family as well! I love your videos and I started a channel last year with just mostly shorts of cooking stuff and some hauls. Thinking of doing a dash channel!

Mama, I am also in a horrible money situation right now. I think if I had the money available I would so help you! Instead as how much I would need it give to myself. It's just something that would make my heart happy. Because like you said, it's not up to us at the end of the day. And everyone needs a little help and love sometimes. The intro of the video really meant a lot to me. You touched my heart with your words, and ultimately, the way you make someone feel is better than the amount of money we have at the end of the day! ❤ (I hope I made sense)

I agree 100%. My prayer whenever I go through a really hard time that lasts a long time, and I can't see a way through it is "God, please just guide me in the right direction and help me make the right moves". The worst time, I had to work my booty off for 5 years, 7 days a week to get to a better place but I was happy about it because I knew I was making a difference in my situation. I think you're doing great and following your path to a better situation. We see you putting in the hard work and deserve the reward!

Good thing is you got the work done and it sounds like you have good credit. In a case like this where you have to add new debt I would have recommended and still do recommend getting as many zero interest credit cards starting with chase, Citi, and discover. Not only will you get promotional APR but also the sign up bonus’s. In this strategy you would put your normal everyday on the zero interest cards and redirect the payments to the high interest cards. So one goes up exactly as much as the high interest one goes down. Hopefully that makes sense, doing that would surely get you to hit the spend requirements to hit the intro bonuses which will all help to eat away at that debt look at it like manufacturing your own balance transfer since it’s 1:1.

I feel you. I face each day with a strong belief that things *will* get better as long as I keep grinding, keep reevaluating, and keep adjusting my plan & strategies in the smartest way I can. I believe the same for you & your family. The important thing is to show up each day and give it your best. (Some days, your best might not be that great, and that's okay, too.) None of us know what life has in store for us, all we can do is put ourselves in the best position we can today to get ready for what's coming tomorrow. There's a meditation I listen to when I need some encouragement and one of my favorite lines is "where I am right now is where I need to be". The place you're in right now might not be where you want to be, but it's where you need to be to get ready for what's coming next. A step in the process. Your channel is amazing. Your personality and humor shines. I believe you will go far. ❤

My husband and I have always said that "if we have to force something to happen, it's not meant to be"! However if you just wait, trust and believe that what is supposed to happen (or not happen) will when the time is right! I have to say though that a normal everyday citizen in these United States cannot afford dental care without serious financial implications! It is a true crime that it can't be made more affordable! Keep going mama! You're the BEST!!!💖

I understand, but my son has autism, so it’s not so simple. Most dentists refuse to see him, and he has a gene mutation which prevents him from being able to get nitrous oxide. Because of that, he has to be put under normal anesthesia that requires an oral surgeon be present as well.

Because of my heart condition, my dentist actually referred me to UCLA‘s dental school (since UCLA is also where my cardiologist was located) to get my wisdom teeth out (as one became infected and I had already had a bout of endocarditis a few years prior from a dental cleaning) and as they couldn‘t use normal dental practices on me due to the restrictions of my heart/lungs. Usually Dental Schools at major educational hospitals want cases like your son as a way to teach future dentists how to deal with patients that a little less than the usual. My dental insurance paid for everything so I don‘t know about pricing, but having the Dental School work with my cardiologist and health restrictions was essential to making me feel comfortable. And one reason I didn’t get my wisdom teeth out until my 30s (and only because one was impacted/infected and the others were in danger of infections as well). You may have already done so, but I would suggest speaking to one if there is one close enough to you. Again, it needs to be a Dental School at a teaching hospital. But it might surprise you that they can accommodate your son‘s health issues and restrictions. And they might be cheaper and/or take Medicaid or offer better payment options. Just a thought. Either way you are doing a great job with your kids and yourself. Life is a journey…keep rolling.

I had to parallel park for the first time in years to pickup from a restaurant for Uber eats the other day. It was a sh*tshow made all the worse by the fact people were sitting outside right next to where I was making my pathetic attempt 😅

My opinion is doordash sends the drivers way too soon. Some of the time the restaurant gets the order as I'm walking through the door..so wait i have to. Oh and bottled water should be illegal..get a brita people

When I went through my divorce and lost my exes income it was rough. I racked up a lot of debt jyst trying to survive. I was lucky enough to get 0% credit cards and just kept moving my debt from one to the other when the free interest time ran out. Being in a lot of debt is super scary but there's nothing you can do but try as best you can to get through it. I tried really hard not to file bankruptcy but eventually it all got to be too much and I realized there was no way I could dig myself out so I had to file. I felt like a loser but at least it gave me some peace of mind. With 2 kids it's hard for one person to work enough to be able to dig yourself out. That was 40 years ago, before working from home or scheduling your own hours was an option but even with that I don't think I could have made it. With the fresh start I was able to pay my bills and never got in that much debt again. I wish you the best!

Debt update. I owe irs 55,000 I’m only doing DD the IRS they agreed to a payment plan of $800+ per month. (I suggested 400) I feel you. I did it last month but 15 days to make this payment along with my other bills feels overwhelming No extra for eating out except for a Costco hot dog. 🤦‍♀️

@@jimmyHopkins-e5i I drive a car that is one year old. I will write off everything And I didn’t make enough to pay July’s payment. I don’t worry about the things that most dashers do. Not concerned wear and tear. I’d get that with my w2. Just not worried.

Oh geez I did a dd for Aldi today in Tampa. 51 items 20 something dollars... stupid me, I took it. It included a case of water, a 10lb bag of potatoes, and a case of soda. 9 bags of stuff all together She lived on the 3rd floor, and the Aldi I shopped at did not have the bags with handles available. I was lightheaded by the second time up the stairs. I have a heart mumur and sometimes get lightheaded on exertion. It's ridiculous that doordash doesn't list what floor these customers live on. Wasted 1.5 hours for less than 21.00. Anyway, I love your channel, and I'm so sorry about the dental situation. Maybe set up a gofundme me, or is it a way for you to accept donations on KZread that will be able to be used for that purpose? I know most of your viewers, including myself, are in a bind financially, and that's what brought us to your channel was to learn more about dashing, but maybe someone out there watching is in a better situation that can help.❤

When I decided to do gig work full-time after I graduated in December 2019, I did not understand why I made that decision. I kept asking myself. Why am I doing gig work full-time? Why can't I just do something in my degree field and I kept getting the answer, you are exactly where I want you to be, and I kept asking and kept getting frustrated and then the pandemic and gig and I think kind of happens for a reason

I also owe over 40k and a single mom of 2 teenagers. The pandemic f*Ed me because before that doing this line of work I wss killing it.
