Just remember this positive... you are appreciated especially by those of us that have no car, can't drive, can't leave the house, and count on the kindness and service from people like you to get us what we need that we can't get for ourselves. Unfortunately there seems to be more cheap lazy tippers than those of us that don't take you for granted but know you are awesome!

Those meet at door orders. If they don’t come to the door within 20sec I just leave it at the door. I’m not waiting 5 min outside.

Just call then hangup and then take photo and write where you left food then go off back to car. Us drivers ahouldnt have to wait

it seems crazy but some ppl cant leave where they are working as well i used to have that when I was a security guard

Lol, watching the door knock on 1.5 speed. Sounded like they had strippers in there, that's a 2 minute wait max, then drop and take picture all day.

And Mary.....I went on a rant tonight Mar 1st telling people to go back to driving school because them trying to drive is not very helpful! 😂😂😂

Waiting for someone to come out is annoying. Happened to be on DD: I called, texted, and let the timer run out. The app said leave order in a safe place w/pic. Then the customer called me when I was up the street and said it was marked delivered and she didn’t get it. I told her where I left it and there’s a picture.

Often the customer doesn't answer the door, and I wait for awhile, then I call them, and they immediately answer before I can say hello and say "Can you just leave it at the door?!" in a rude tone before they even hear me speak....that pisses me off because it means they knew I was waiting the whole time.

I think you just leave it at the door next time I don’t think it’s that serious I bet she didn’t even know it was hand it to me or leave at door Customers don’t always think about that stuff and you’re just wasting your time And increasing the tip Is crazy 😂 bruh just take the pic leave it at the door and go she’ll will be notified by the app also Like I don’t get it

I've pivoted to doing life insurance & retirement gig work and it's great. I've found that it's best to order delivery myself and give a cash tip to other drivers too to actually find leads as other drivers are getting squeezed due to an overcrowded marketplace given drivers are squeezed.

Meet at door , but they don't really want to meet....I text them a picture of the food left at the door and then leave...most times I get a thank you response.

Uber now has an x next to trip radar orders to not accept order and they won't send it to you again. Also after waiting the 8 minutes for meet at door it will have you leave order and take a picture.

My husband has had to take numerous pictures of receipts, but I have not!

I've just started doing Spark delivery for Walmart and its been paying pretty good. i live in a small city around 9k people and last week i made $530

Happened to me 3 weeks ago. I texted them. The timer ran out and i took a picture of it and completed the order.

You encountered the most frustrating thing guys. Soooo many people do doordash cus they can't speak freaking English and it's so frustrating when they take up all the shifts. They just walk in stores and shove their phones in the employees faces.

@@seanjohnson9401 well I mean yeah I hate Biden to but it's not that cus doordash does background checks and you have to have some sort of citizenship here. It's just they choose to never learn English. Then they raise their kids in their native language to and it's America. Bi lingual is okay. But when you can't speak English at all is a problem.

I was thinking the same thing today.

I had an UE meet at door and needed pin # to complete delivery. Customer text early on in order to leave at door.... before I knew I needed pin number😮. Then they never text me back or answered my calls.... all I needed was pin number!! I kept texting, calling and ringing door bell. So I waited for timer to run out and it gives you option at that point to take picture and leave or continue to wait or return order. So of course I just took pictures and left but it is sooooo annoying!!

I have seen that new request on a couple of orders. This was a couple of months ago when I first saw it. It's just an added step that is unnecessary imo.

My shortest delivries- Jamba Juice to a T Mobile store across the street and a KFC to Tractor Supply Co across the parking lot. We know that the person that made you wait is sorry, but she still should apologize. Uber and Instacart needs to reduce the forced wait time or add a penalty fee that goes to the driver for wasting our time. As infuriating as leave at door yet I'm outside waiting orders are, (possibly trying to score a free meal by accusing us of theft) the hand it to me yet I will ghost you orders come off as a stronger "fornicate yourself".
